The facilities are outdated, for example the pool. But who needs the pool when the beach is so beautiful.

Luxury green property, excellent service. We had the beach for ourselves and few others. Cannot fault it. Made memories for life

Amazing location and beuaitful beaches. I love the buffet spread and the nature surrounding the property is breathtaking.

I think the resort requires alot of upgrading. I dont think it is befitting of a 5-star title and its worn down in some areas. Our door couldnt lock even though they claim it auto locks so we just leave the doors unlocked as is, staff is very friendly and nice but ut wld be nice if they are given the knowledge and experience on the food being served when it comes to suggesting food to us.

We used to visit this resort often years ago. We love the beach and crystal clear water.

The resort has aged and is not maintained well. It is not a 5 star resort as it claims to be. We paid an exhorbitant amount for the rooms, food, beverages, laundry, recreational activities. However, the hotel is only at 40% occupancy at high season and thus told us many services were unavailable. We booked a snorkeling trip but were very surprised they did not help to carry all the gear, life jackets, to the boat. There were staff standing around in that office to sell the activities but did not offer to help. Some staff were not trained well and tried hard but overall the service fell short of what we expected.

Hotel is run down.Below average food quality.Not a 5-starts hotel as far as I am concerned.Too expensive for what you get.Staff not experienced enough.

The location is the treasure here- surrounded by lush green hills and the sea is clear and clean with a fine nearly white sandy beach.We stayed in the garden suites which are roomy and well equipped.The staff are friendly and helpful.We truly enjoyed the dives and the snorkelling sessions arranged.

WiFi can be patchy and weak.

I would like to thanks all stuff and workers especially driver Mohamed he is very friendly and polite .Also receptionist girls very helpful and cooperative.

One thing that really standout about Taaras is the view from the room and the best nature surrounding the hotel, with coconut trees that looks very well maintained and the best of all the ocean. It felt something out of the world, the water is very prestine and beautiful. Honestly, if my issue is resolved I would really want to pay a visit again. And shoutout to Mr. Saiful, who was the biggest help in every situations and everything!

One thing that really nagged me alot is the lifeguard. During my experience, the waves on my first day was very rough compared to the waves on my second day. The lifeguard didn’t even allow us to stand on the sand during the second day where there was less waves. Whereas, on the first day we were able to swim. I could see all the guest in distress and was very unhappy of the lifeguard. I called the managment of the hotel, and the management really helped us, we were finally able to swim. For future notes, please choose a proper and a reasonable lifeguard, most people come to Taaras due to the beautiful beach, not the rooms! So please don’t waste people time and money just like that. Additionally, Taaras should have lifeguard jet ski for security and safety purposes or even a net during big waves for people to know till which point they could swim. This would allow many visitors to be able to enjoy the beach and swim as much as they want! Be reasonable, cause the sum of money we are paying isn’t just 1000 or 2000 its more than 20k. So make sure everyone is happy!

Exceptional staff and amazing facilities despite the weather while we were there. Room was very clean and tidy and every need was met by the staff at the Tarras Resort.

Aircon in the living space did not work to its full potential.

This resort's number one feature is the awesome attemtion and careful hospitality.of their staff. Not only do they have attentive receptionists and waitera but there is a guest manager who can operate like a private relatioms.mamager who waots amd follows up on every request amd detail at your beck amd call. It is this first.class service that distinguishes the quality of this resort to be head and shoulders above the rest. I will surely come back to this resort with the rest of my family anf children. One last thing, the yoga classes nd the spa massages are quite special and not to br missed.

The food menu is comprehensive but it can actually be improved with japanese fusion food and more steamed dishes (minus thr chillies and spice) as an alternstive to those who cannot take spicy.

Amazing island with white sandy beaches teaming with life. Snorkeling with sea turtles was definitely the highlight of our vacation in Malaysia. The facilities are beautiful and the staff is super kind and helpful.

The food was disappointing. Definitely room for improvement there.

Restuatant , it awful . Only the Italian / indian was good . Buffet at main Restuatant was cold and less choices not thing European . Can improve on that

Friendly staff, good environment.

Checking out early,0830,price of transfer from airport to resort and to and fro is quite expensive.

The view of the island was spectacular.

The pricing can be controlled a little bit for its restaurants given we pay so much for the hotel itself. The restaurants can also provide a different variety of cuisines.

The friendly staff were amazing. This was our 2nd stay at the Taaras and we will 100% return again.

Great clean beach, good spacious rooms, extensive breakfast. Clean.

Getting to the property is a nightmare-1 hr flight from KL to nearest city - TGG, 40 mins drive to jetty and 40 mins by boat to Redang island. There is a specific schedule for transfers from airport to jetty and jetty to Redang island. And if you are not in time for schedule or flight delay you can spend a whole day in transit.Plus all prices are Taaras overpriced. Staff struggle with English. Food is just average. There is no life outside of the hotel - so stuck in hotel.

Hassni recreation was very helpful. So all the rest of the staff. And the beach is amazing.

The beach is absolutely breathtaking and the staff are fantastic!Great place to wind down with lots of activities to ensure you don't get bored.Highly recommend doing Yoga and using the Kayaks.

Food and drink prices are reasonably high, specifically for alcoholic beverages.

Location was stunning - beautiful bay with incredible clear water.

Whole hotel felt tired and a bit dilapidated. Some door handles pulled off, towel rails that were loose etc. The food was ok but very over priced for what it was.
