HAKO HOTEL JBCC

Staff was very friendly. Free breakfast was very simple with toast bread and jam, coffee and tea. Good gesture for the price. But we didn't have the breakfast there.

There was a perpertual water dripping noise in our toilet and we suspected that it's from within the pipe because we checked that the taps were all shut tight. There is no way for us to remove the noise. Since we were only staying for 1 night, we didn't want to request to change room but it disturbed the whole night of our sleep. Please make sure you check your room properly before you turn in for the night to ensure undisturbed sleep.

The property is clean The rooms are a nice size and comfortable.

The property is located near many roads without access to sidewalks or bus stops. We always had to use a grab to get around town.

I actually like the convenient parking and distance to city.

Though the room was a bit smaller than I anticipated, it was clean and the bed was great.

Cannot be accessed via walking. Need to take a grab to the hotel which is an issue cos of the massive jam in the CIQ/City Square area. Rooms have thin walls and the room I stayed has no windows.

The parking is free whether you park in the basement or in front of the hotel. Our triple room is spacious.

There is no hand soap provided at the wash basin. My wife is very particular about this. This has been brought up by previous reviewers. Feedback to the front desk, the staff just shrugged her shoulders. Wi-fi got problem during the first night. Complimentary breakfast is just bread, half-boil egg and coffee and tea. So you can skip that.

Rooms are clean and affordable. Staff is friendly. Really appreciate the complimentary breakfast. I have been here a few times and for sure I will be coming back again??

The breakfast was quite minimal, I think by just offering some cereals and decent coffee you could really improve the overall impression

It’s my 2nd time staying at this hotel . Everything was nice . Complimentary breakfast included as well .

The toilet near the reception was not really properly clean as it smells like urine . That’s the only minus point .

The hotel set up was good. The room is very comfortable.Water pressure was good in the shower.WiFi was good. The hotel provide basic toiletries.At the lobby they provide free flow of coffee & tea and snacks.I love the bed. Pillow is very comfortable.

There are only Chinese & Indian restaurants below the hotel.So, for Muslim guest, for halal food you will need to drive out for your dinner at night.

The front desk staff had poor service, they didn't accept my request to change room because the room smelled musty, their staff said they didn't refuse my request, they thought my request was unreasonable, finally I went to the shop and bought a bottle of Dettol disinfectant spray and sprayed the whole room and the next day no one came to clean and change towns, I didn't expect to stay in suchabad hotel on my first trip to Johor

The beds and pillows was really comfortable, comparable to five star hotels.

No windows in the room, no natural lighting. felt stuffy. Location is very near CIQ, if you follow GPS when exiting, it will ask you to turn right, which will lead you back into CIQ exiting lanes and you can't escape. Take note to turn LEFT no matter what then let the GPS renavigate you.

I used to stay with Hako Terbau,so thought of give JBCC a try. Turns out it was a horrifying stay. The cleanliness is terrible. The toilet bowl got urine stains on the seat. Not sure someone used the washroom before I checked in or it was left from the previous customer. The smell was super bad. And the toilet floor is sticky. The website said wifi is free, but the connection is low, basically after connecting to WiFi it doesn't work at all. And the air conditioning in the room is bad too. Adjusted to 16degrees but the room is still warm. I will never ever go back to such a horrible hotel anymore.

The staff is friendly

My booking was confirm via email with a booking confirmation number, but was told no room was booked upon checked in by the front staff. I booked a deluxe family but was given 2 single rooms as system did not capture our booking. We were made to change room on the second day which caused a lot of inconvenience. Both single room feels stuffy and smell weird. There were thick layer of dust in-between the connecting doors, wall mounted lamps and wardrobe. We shifted to deluxe family room on the 2nd night. Thick layer of dusty can be seen hanging on the wall mounted lamps, the ventilation grill on top of the wardrobes and the drainage at the bathing area was really bad. Water are flooding out of the bathing area within 20 seconds of running the shower head. There was loud humming sound outside our window, sounds like the air con compressor, the sound was non stop though out the night and I could barely sleep for a few hours.
