Sunway Hotel Big Box

This hotel is away from crowd and there is a mall just a walking distance.

Location was good. Less than 10min drive away from Legoland with plenty of food options within walking distance. Booked a family suite. Room was clean and spacious for a family of 4. There is also free parking available at premises.

Room was right above swimming pool and they had a live band going on until 12mn on Fri night which can be clearly heard from the room. Pillows were also very soft. Had to stack two pillows in order to have better neck support.

Clean and spacious room. Friendly staffs. Great location.

Only the location

The flooring is uneven. No face towel, toiletries were placed in a make shift manner. Wardrobe and toilet's door hard to slide open/close and they are sticky when touched. Towels were old and dark.

Your hotel appeared in search results when I specifically searched for accommodation near Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. There was no clear or prominent indication that your property is actually located in Malaysia. I booked believing it was in Singapore, but only after payment did I discover the truth. This is completely misleading. On top of that, your hotel refused to give me any reasonable option to cancel and get my money back, even though it was impossible for me to stay here due to my trip being in Singapore. This caused me unnecessary financial loss and serious inconvenience. I will be telling my family, friends, and classmates in Singapore never to book or stay at your hotel in the future.

Clean and comfortable. Rooms were spacious. Breakfast spread was very good. Staff were friendly especially the same concierge on duty on 15/6 at 6pm and 16/6 at 12pm. Sorry didn’t get his name

This family unit 1010/1011 was perfect design for 2 family to stay together.We enjoyed so much .Good value and good stay.

Only the master bed is a bit soft.

Good amenities

Slow to get my room ready. Check in at 1pm, got our room at 4.15pm.

Really love the old school charm of the hotel and their service standards of the aeons gone by, or probably this is the standard to aspire towards in modern times for some others. I like the small touch like the free flow juice in the lobby while you wait. The room is of a good size for the price paid, and the housekeeping is tops.

Perhaps you could invest in some Reserved signs for tables . That could help avert misunderstanding at the tables.

Staff helped in upgrading my room, as I discovered that my room was NOT ready. It was not made up at all.

My original room was not ready. bedsheets on the floor, used towel on the floor.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Good for big families.

We booked the van to Legoland upon checked in but it wasn’t recorded down, hence, the van left without us. However, they made an extra trip to bring us to Legoland as a replacement.

First impression of the main hotel lobby, the smell! Book the family room, and it meets our expectations. The breakfast buffet was good. Location wise is good as well, near shooping mall etc. Will definitely come back here again

Rooms were very clean and everything inside the the room works fine. Breakfast was good but can be better.

Checking in was a bit too slow. My sister had booked more than 5 rooms for a family gathering. Was promised by 4-5pm that the rooms we ready but until 7pm some of the rooms were still not ready. Mind you the rooms were for families with small kids, they were tired & agitated and were hoping to get to their rooms. I understand the peak timings for the check in time but to wait until 7pm was not good. We are paying a full amount for rooms & to check in so late is unfair for us. Other than that, the hotel restaurant was awesome in accomodating a huge request last min for our family gathering. Thank u to the restaurant for that.

The smart TV screen wasnt glaring. Complimentary drinks is a good add-on feature. The amenitis is good.

The shower cubicle is a little too small. The door was misleading. The label was "pull" but can only push to open. It was a tight fit inside the shower cubicle especially when the door was suppose to be pull, to open. It was misleading.

It’s really bright, spacious and clean. Perfect space for a family. Love that it’s close to the mall and legoland too!

The staff gave conflicting information about our breakfast entitlements and caused a fair bit of issue. Whilst it was great that they were willing to assist in helping us to get to the other floors where our friends were staying, one also wondered about the security. I was also disappointed with the lack of room service. It is only available between 12nn to 10pm, with the last order being 930pm. Kid couldn’t sleep in whilst I have my breakfast even if I wanted to.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was average, but u have other choices around the BigBox Mall.

The shops in the mall were sparely and needed alot of walk, not elderly friendly because need to walk quite a distance to shops. The reception can try to put a smile when serving customers. Overall, hotel is great place to rest after driving and shopping.

Nothing great

Firstly I was there at 12plus. Knowing that I cant get the room, I did the admin stuff and decided to check out the area. Ard 3pm I came back and was shocked room was not ready. We were already shacked due to the customs clearances and had to wait for hrs. Than when ut was 3pm, room not ready.One of the staff claim he will check and get back but no one came to me. Despite waiting at the lobby area no response was given till 320pm one of the front desk came to me and say they needed more time. I was like.... hey u came early. U claim no room available. That was ok with us. But it's 3pm and I have been waiting almost 3hrs and you have not cleared the room. I was pissed. Than ard 330pm claim room ready.. I paid for extra bed. When we go up no bed. I called to the operator to ask abt my extra bed. I was given a reply ... the workers are busy cleaning up the room , later they will sent. I waited till 5pm and decided to go out. Than at the front I I formed the staff and he assured ne that he will personally ensure the bed is there... blar blar blar. All empty promises.. I came back ard 9pm and to my horror ... no bed. I went mad. I paid for the paid. Its not given free. You mean I have to keep asking. What kinda Service is this...I utterly disappointed with the service. Service staff can promise the customer but no follow up was done at all.
