The sea view from the room and the staff to be exact, what ever l need l just have to whatapp him thru his personal phone such as the ordering of the room service food or when we need extra plates & cutleries he was willingly helpful.

At times the music from the night club can be noisy

Good location, views to Singapore, next to ferry terminal for Batam; good swimming pool; good breakfast; good room.

Shower unit is quite dated, fixed head, no flexible hose, and inside a bath.

BAD AND DISAPPOINTED

The hotel was extremely disappointing. The facilities were run down, and the overall experience was unpleasant. The toilets were dirty and stained, the décor felt outdated, and the rooms were dusty with a musty smell. It was so uncomfortable that my nose even started running. I can’t understand how a hotel can be maintained in such poor condition.

I would like to acknowledge that the staff were very polite, kind, and helpful throughout my stay.

The location and overall design of the hotel are nice; however, the facilities and cleanliness did not meet expectations given the price paid.The gym and pool areas were very old and not clean, and the bathroom curtain in the room was noticeably dirty. The breakfast service was also below standard in terms of quality and presentation.Additionally, showing a video during breakfast about children dying due to lack of food was highly inappropriate and uncomfortable for guests. This is not suitable content for a hospitality environment.Due to these issues, I would not choose this hotel again.

The room is big.Location is good.Amenities are good.

Not many variety for breakfast.Parking is quite narrow and located at level 6.The hotel is old.The furniture is old/dated/aging.

So far, I'm satisfied with the location. Cleanliness is good but breakfast is just normal. Overall I'm quite satisfied during my stay. I will stay here if I have the chance coming to Johor Bahru.

WC water need to check as water flowing sound the whole night. Air-con thermostat controller need to upgrade for user friendly.

Location was perfect. Breakfast also ok.

Furniture quite old. Windows not clear to see view. need to walk quite far from parking to lift lobby and the direction is not very clear. vibe quite creepy especially when you sleep alone.

Room is spacious, clean. Check in was easy & simple. Breakfast spread was superb.

Hotel is big and room size is good (neither big nor small). There's iron in closet and bathtub in my room! I chose the seaview or rather strait view and looking at the calm strait makes me grateful of it's serenity. Amenities are okay but wish they were more memorable. I liked that 2 chairs are provided (one at the table and another at coffee table).

The room or even the hotel could use some uplifting to match current times. At the very least, paint job and change of mattress would be a good start. Pillows are great but the mattress belongs in the dumpster (nothing lasts forever). Also, curtains are not black out type so I could still see some light during the day/night.

The location is questionable, when we arrived at night, next to the hotel are the night clubs, the music blasting go on until 3am, lots of prostitute walking around. The room has a heavy damp smell, my husband and I are unable to have a good night sleep, toss and turning the whole night. Bed was ok however very strong mold smell as well as the tower. It wasn't enjoyable and I am quite dissapointed with the quality of berjaya.

Big room, provide parking, easy to get food and got a complimentary breakfast.

At night there will be a bit noisy because near to club and pub.

We were upgraded to a suite, too spacious. Decent variety of cuisines for breakfast

Carpark was SUPER FAR (past reviews were true)...cant imagine elderlies having to walk and adults with kids/strollers having to carry up the stairs. Those planning to drive, ensure to grab your touch 'n' go card before checking in..unlike us hahaha... we had to agonizingly walk back all the way the next day. Aircon in room wasnt working too well..Should consider upgrading to smart TV...the kitchenette was superfluous with only a fridge, would be more functional/accommodating with an oven... The mall (nearer to carpark yea..not hotel) next to it is a good as dysfunctional

Loud music blasting from TAXX Shanghai Club until 3–4 AM — even on the 14th floor, it was extremely difficult to sleep. Mobile reception (Maxis and Digi/Celcom) was terrible, with unstable signal — often just one bar or no connection at all. There was no in-room safe provided. The gym lacked sanitizers, which raises hygiene concerns.

The room need to renovate, it's too old.Expecially the toilet. The Aircond as well need to replace.

That I was easily able to change my room from smoking to non - smoking. The night shift staff were good n helpful

The smoking room was in bad condition, curtains stained, the wall had water marks, bedding was not clean n had a very bad odour. Air - Con not cold n blower was very weak. Shower just as bad, unable to adjust the shower head. Being a 4 star n wearing the Berjaya Group name was a let down.
