Hotel Isabel Palace

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. How the Isabel got a rating over 3.5 is beyond me. The price was modest, the bed comfortable—although my friend’s sheets had holes, and ink stains. The shower did not have a drain, nor any barrier to prevent water from running across the rest of the bathroom. The hotel kindly placed a long handled squeegee (with a filthy handle) in the bathroom so that guests could squeegee the shower water from the floor to the one drain beneath the bathroom sink. The toilets were western style. The staff attempted to be helpful given the constraints of filth and apparently no cleaning staff.On the plus side, the food served in the dining room was tasty. I did not see the kitchen, however. I am male, and my traveling partner is female.We had separate rooms. We did eat together. This might be a cultural thing in India, but, when the waiter came to our table he only addressed me. It was as if my friend was invisible. He also called me “boss,” which would be a matter of indifference if I were alone.The gift shop was nicely arranged, reasonably priced, and had a friendly man operating it.If you are really on a budget, this place is for you. If you want a normal hotel, pass on the Isabel. My friend refuses to recommend the Isabel under any circumstances and would not stay there even if the rooms were free. When I was young and broke, I would have stayed here a second time. Not now.

paid double they don't accept prise written by booking charges u double muscle power to kid and two women don't know what's safe in varanasi now booking or never to use them pallavi not to be trusted in any way surely they don't accept prize from booking charge u double and try hold u on muscle power to kids and women and horrible experience with all proof and more needed I will send

rooms were quite big and clean. Staff were helpful but they had their issues in resolving teething issues like TV and internet. Breakfast was basic but ok. We ordered lunch and dinner few times and they were prepared from scratch. It was a big plus specially for family with very young kids

Internet was an issue and there were frequent outages

Very cooperative staff .. well maintained property with a touch of the vintage ... Great place for ethnic quiet comfortable stay....

Room was reasonable

Wifi not working. TV not working for our entire 2 day stay. Bathroom drain clogged for our 2 days stay. Food provided was way below wxpectations.

It’s a very clean and very well located hotel. The staff from reception to the restaurant are extremely helpful and very friendly. Quality and qty of food served is good and value for money. The toilets are well stocked and the beds are comfortable and the linen is clean. Rooms are spacious.

The TV network is not functional

The bed was far too hard and lumpy . If you like a firm bed this would be ok for you but we had three nights of bad sleep.Staff tried to help but they couldn't replace the matrass.Shower had plenty of hot water for one person for a brief shower but lukewarm for the second person.No fridge

Clean and spacious room with elegant design. Very comfy bed and amazing hot shower (took a moment to warm up but then was really great). Overall really good value for what you pay

The room was especially large, both the room and bathroom were clean with adequate facilities. The food was decent.

Located a bit off the main road, so unlike other hotel options in the marketplace, walking back to the hotel after dark might feel out of your comfort zone.The bed sheet kept slipping out from underneath, so maybe that's something to look into..

Staff were very nice

Rooms can be updated with better towels hand towels hand cream dispensers floor mats in the bathrooms

Everything was perfect: good food offering with both local and continental dishes.The staff was super nice in helping me and my wife arranging transfers from our previous and to the next stop of our journey, and get to the Khajuraho western temples. They also help us exchange some cash, and was supportive through the entire stay.The room was large and clean, the perfect place when you have large bags like us.

Breakfast was good, though the spread could've been made better. Location is nice. Room was very neat, spacious & beautiful. calm & clean surrounding. Staff is fantastic. Surendar ji was really helpful. For our extended stay, he charged a reasonable fee.Overall, We enjoyed our stay here.

Hot water supply for bathing was delayed on first Day. Though it was corrected in second half. There was some loud noise in the morning from the neighborhood, due to some festival celebration (not Hotel's fault anyways). Again, it was subdued as well later on.

Their services are good. Food was good. They have tours and trips to destinations in Khajuraho.

The location from the city center. It was quite far off. Closer to the airport.
