The fact that we were not given the spa coupons worth 6k and the staff gave us a reason saying we were not in the room

Rooms were good and spacious.

Breakfast buffet was good. However lunch/dinner buffet required improvement in menu. In Ala carte chinese Cuisine was very good. Sandwiches/pizza snacks were also good. However Indian Cuisine required improvement.

Food. We had a Barbeque special dinner. It was totally disaster because the food was very salty, not cooked properly. We couldn't eat anything, so we left. Even though they charged ₹3500/- for this shit dinner. We went to this place to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We just ate one tandoori roti with carrot & cucumber. The total price of this dinner is ₹5000/-. Finally they gave me a small discount. Any way our anniversary was totally ruined. ??

It's not worth the money. It's too costly; they charge 16.5k per day, which includes only breakfast, not even afternoon tea.It's not worth paying this cost just for the stay.

Property had access to government land which had water bodies which were pretty good

Food was pathetic, staff weren’t knowledgeable about many points ex: temperature controlled pool or not!!! River crossing can’t be done with kids, only plus point were the bungalows which were decent sized.

It is a very good property in the middle of city with lots of greenery. The staff were very helpful and the food in the restaurant is also good.

Property is very unique and aesthetically maintained. One can see the interest in up keep of the place.Staff are very nice, We have known Krishnan from previous resort, he is very knowledgeable and guest focused.Right in the midst of greenery, beautiful birds and sound of flowing river - couldn't have asked for better way to unwind !The movie time in the evening were good ! Good amount of indoor games, big enough swimming pool (with separate kids pool).Bird watching in morning was a great addition, very knowledgeable person too they have! Too bad the river was flowing strong and the trek was not allowed, we will definitely visit again next time !Food is tasty.

I would say the restaurant is pricey (buffet and ala-carte) !

Stayed here for a family getaway for 4 days. The property is located away from the hustle-bustle of Madikeri. Although it is located on the Mysore-Madikeri road, the property will surprise the guests with its serene ambiance as soon as they enter the property. Quick shopping @Kushalnagar for all that we forget is convenient ?. Inside the property, each villa is beautifully constructed with loads of flora and fauna around with standard amenities and maintained clean. The service staff were available around the clock, very courteous and friendly. They do their best to help the guests. As part of the booking, the guests were offered a nature walk, bird watching, and their own coffee plantation visit (it is possible to see peacocks, a lot of giant spiders, and crocs, if lucky) at fixed times. All of them are worth an attempt as these are exclusively offered to Amanvana guests at no extra cost. The guide was very friendly and shared some interesting information. Guests can also walk along a small Cauvery tributary if it is not raining heavily. Visiting with family or friends – the swimming pool in front of the restaurant is an excellent time kill. Be sure to have the basic swimsuits if interested in jumping in. Also, they have some recreational facilities (foosball, snooker, carrom, badminton) in a small place. During our stay, there was also a screening of a movie every evening. So, something for everyone! ?Restaurant – morning breakfast had a lot of options. A la carte menu is available – a bit expensive - be ready for a biggie ?. I booked through Booking.com, so only the free breakfast option was available at the time of booking. At the property, I found that guests can book the buffet option for all three meals – which sounds like a good deal – as it lets you explore a whole host of dishes. So, I paid extra at the property and got it converted. Nevertheless, I must say that the longer the stay, the more easily you get bored with the buffet, though!

But the bed cushion (mattress) was a letdown for the price one pays! and the furniture requires maintenance. As always, all these issues will go under “scope for improvement” & they will not spoil the stay.

The staff at the hotel are excellent, particularly Diwakar at the restaurant. Speaking of the restaurant, the food was excellent. The buffet lunches and dinners were good value for money, and had a great range of dishes. I went to Amanvana for some rest and relaxation and that’s exactly what I had!

The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was the highlight with the private bathtub. The food taste was top notch. All the dishes we ordered was flavourful and delectable. Kudos to the chef.

Nothing as Such

Very well maintained. It had a rustic look, very naturally beautiful.

Wifi was an issue occasionally. Front door of the bungalows could have more customer friendly locks.

Paid for spa but sauna didn’t work, ordered lassi during dinner but didn’t come for 45 minutes, too hot no AC

Love the property, very nicely maintained. Beautiful skylit bathroom was the highlight of our room. Absolutely loved the spa! Best massage I’ve ever had. Thank You Amanvana for a fabulous birthday weekend.

Wish the location was a bit more secluded but it’s right in the middle of Kushalnagar. Although doesn’t matter once you’re inside the property since you feel like you’ve fallen through a rabbit hole and into a mysterious jungle! Also loved the River Cauvery flowing right through the resort.

Great rooms and good housekeeping

Food was sub par. Very basic buffet, no focus on authentic, traditional cuisine, slow service and an obvious shortage of staff. While the staff was friendly and tried hard they obviously need more direction and the food really needs help. The experience would be ten times better if the food was sorted

You are taking lot of amount for food, that too food quality is very worst, please mention the price before they are taking food, then only it will be very helpful.Service charges and GST also very high, compair to other resorts it's worthless. We will never suggest to someone to visit this resort. We have been so many resort but it's really worst in food pricing ?
