i like the infrastructure and service. the hotel is so gorgeous. i will recommend this hotel to my friends

breakfast needs to be improved

+ The whole place is majestic and beautiful! If you walk in, you feel like an aristocrat ;) There are not only hotel rooms inside the building, but also conference rooms and a posh ballroom.+ Nice location with a very nice view at the bridge and the ocean.+ Clean and spacious rooms.

- At the reception, there was some confusion about a deposit - I was required to pay a deposit for my stay, which was not mentioned on Booking.com. Eventually, the receptionists dropped the deposit requirement when I mentioned that I would not use the minibar.- It was quite hot inside the room (+27 C) (although it was cold outside), and the air conditioner did not seem to lower the temperature, although we set it to 20 C.- The door to the shower and the toilet room was transparent, and you could look into these rooms from the bedroom, which I find not very privacy-friendly.

Location, overseeing the sea and the Yellow Sea, gorgeous, the castle stunning.

No roasted Americano coffee at buffet.

A magnificent setting for this fairytale hotel. A photographer's paradise . The staff were brilliant. The meals were wonderful.

The odd few smokers that do not adhere to the no smoking policy. They lurk in the stair well. A group of 4 men were smoking in the bar even though the staff had told them not to smoke.

Water for showering is not hot at all…especially when Da lian is cold. I think the staff can also be friendlier and more helpful. We changed a room as our initial room the facilities were not working well and normally. We saw dead cockroach in our hotel room too, overall we feel that the hotel is old and not well maintained.

Beautiful property, room was very comfortable.

Up on a hill isn’t the most convenient location. The buggy to shuttle people up and down isn’t as effective as it could be as it’s always waiting at the top and is very difficult for people at the bottom to get picked up. A call bell would be a great addition for foreign guests who do not have a local telephone number to call the hotel.

Having been in many many hotels during my travels, this definitely tops the cake!The magnificence of the design, externally and internally, made the experience and the stay one of a kind. Service was great and there were many facilities on site. Staff look to cater to your needs and they deliver.P.S. Room and view was also spectacular

The breakfast was amazing, a very good choice!! and good quality fresh food. The beds were extremely cosy. The views were incredible from the room and hotel was lovely. The gym was very good and a lovely sea view. The pool was nice but not amazing!

few things that I had expected and they are only small things... A little personal touch was missing maybe fruit in the room... There was a little dust here and there around the bathroom and room. The bath leaked when draining. The windows around the whole property could have done with a clean. Just small things you would expect to be better for such an amazing place. Also from the road the hotel looked dark compared to other buildings around it.

The staff were very helpful, the buffet lunch was was very good and so was the Zhen Bao restaurant, the room was very nice and clean and the pool and steam room etc was very nice.

So the main issue we had was the temperature of the room, it was 26 degrees and went upto 28 degrees and one point. I'm not being funny but this is just too hot and even though each room has it's own thermostat we was told that the temperature was the same for each hotel room and this could not be changed (because chinese people like it hot basically).So there was no way to regulate the temperature to a temperature that I was comfortable with both while relaxing and sleeping. The staff did open the window and put a fan in the room but this isn't the point. At a luxury hotel like this is you should be able to control the temperature for your individual room

A beautiful secluded yet easy to reach location high on a hill overlooking Dalian Bay and Xinghai park to the South featuring picturesque mountains to the North. There is also a wonderful high level garden in easy reach of all floors. Breakfast is plentiful, just two small points, both cheese and bacon are hard to get in China. Streaky bacon isn't up to Breakfast quality as its too fatty and all hotels and shopping malls have very limited cheese varieties.

You would have to be especially critical to fault this hotel. A minor issue with the plug seal in one of the bathroom sinks was dealt with within minutes of advising the problem.

Breakfast had a spectacular choice, only downside it was only from 6:30 - 10am, which can be a little short time on weekends. Gym was OK, but not very much equipment. Spa/Swimming pool was great.Everything else is just like you would imagine to be in an actual castle.Very friendly staff and spoke some english.

My family and I are so completely in love with this hotel. It’s so grand and majestic. The staff were all so polite and kind, willing to go the extra mile to accommodate us. We loved our stay here and definitely would return.
