Pool is not heated, water is rather chilly, we could not stay in the pool for long. Neither could kids. As far as I know, it is uncommon, other hotels in the area have heated pools.We paid for half-board with dinner buffet included. Although for dinner they offer a huge variety of options, the options are the same everyday. I wish they could rotate those options and make guest happier. Strangely, in the room they don't have private bathrooms. From the rest of the room, there bathroom area is separated by sliding doors / walls, which cannot be locked. So, there is no privacy for those using the facilities. A very strange design solution.

Facility was little bit old, location was good to reach everything, beach was less qty chairs and too many people.

The bathroom shower leaked into the Toliet room when you took a shower.

The hotel is good for money but I think it is overrated on Booking. The breakfast and the dinner buffet are ok.If you need a place to sleep and to have something to eat at the fair value but with NO service this is the right place. But this hotel should have more than 5 score on Booking. I was in the hotels with 7-8 score and they offer at least some service.

The hotel is old and thus there are some fixed and adjusted things in room. The air conditioning and air refreshment system of the restaurant (it is just one in the hotel) were we had breakfast. dinner buffets and lunch HAS TO BE fully changed, there is the food cooking smell everywhere and very hot inside. The pool is limited and I think for such a big hotel it is quite small. The room and facilities inside have to be refurbished but all works for now. The bad is comfy but it creaks. The big issue with the staff, I thought with my entry level of Chinese and mobile translator I wouldn't have a problem BUT if the gut at the reception doesn't know his work and spends an hour to check in the guests in 5 rooms it is unprofessional team. I booked the room 2 weeks earlier and informed the hotel about the late check in at 11pm but when we arrived in the hotel there was nobody, even a bellboy. The security guy came to us when we entered to the lobby and seat the sofa. The hotel had to prepare the rooms for us but the reception guy tried to sell me different rooms with at a different rates even seeing my bookings with confirmations. it is good that I had a printed out confirmation so that paper was like a document for the reception guy to accept as as I booked. I never come back to this hotel because there are lot of others nearby, and if I would know all above written I would never book this hotel

Despite making a booking 7 months in advance, where we specifically requested for the three rooms to be near each other (for the ease of taking care of elderly and children), we were given rooms from different blocks and levels. Some of the rooms weren't even ready and one of the door card weren't not working as well. We had to wait 20mins for the first person to come and fix it, and was told that another person will come to fix it "soon". We spent another 20mins waiting (with doors opened) for the second person, where we eventually gave up waiting as it was delaying our dinner plans. In addition, the balcony was also quite dirty from fallen leaves and food debris (likely from residents upstairs?).While we understand that it was during the holiday season and rooms are packed, we expected more given the amount we are paying for.

Central location near the beach, restaurants and nightly activities for children. Clean and calm, with a beautiful aquarium inside the restaurant and great facilities for kids.

The staff was very helpful but only had one person speaking English. And the lobby bar even though only had coffee and juices in the menu, I always had the answer that they didn’t know how to make any coffee related drinks.

Wrong conditions for dinner, it was written "room with half board", but during 5 days stay we could get only two dinners and no choice at all - only chicken fondue or spicy fish. Reception staff didn't want to solve this problem

Great for kids! Lovely indoor play area with a variety of activities - mini ropes course, mini climbing structure, soft play, trampoline. Perfect for kids up to about 7 years old. Great range of childrens activities at the kids club (arts and crafts, cookie making, games) and although we didnt speak Chinese, and they didnt speak English the children were still very involved. Lovely breakfast - great range of western and chinese food. My kids are picky eaters and they were happy! Some staff spoke English. All very helpful. Would stay again.

Unfortunately the Japanese restaurant was closed when we were there....next time!

Spacious room with a court yard, located in the Lakeside Wing which is green and quite. The breakfast place for vilas and Lakeside is open until 11, perfect for sleep-in-vacation. I'm positive surprised with the hotel dinner, buffe with plenty of seafood and other choices. Child friendly facilities, kid pool, toys and fun bunk beds in the room. Nice location, only one road away from the beach, next to La Floret center with plenty restaurang choices. My son loves the buggy car service :)

One tiny detail about the butter, strongly recommand the hotel to use single small packages of butter instead of big jar of butter in the open air for a long time in the breakfast buffe.

Perfect location if you just want a nice, quite chilled vacation. Not far from the beach and a mall with some cafes, restaurants etc. Breakfast was great even for a picky eater like me. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Yalong bay.

Check in was a little longer, about 15 minutes ( but we are used to this, everything is slower if you are holding a foreign passport in China). John(the lobby guy) was really helpful though. He said there was a system error with logging in our passport info but he let us proceed to the room to rest and later called us to collect our passports.

Great value, but a very simple property. It is a long way from being a 'real' 5-star hotel, but has some lovely features. Seems to be very family-friendly, and is in a good location for the bay and shops. Restaurant was great.

It would be great to heat the pool in winter... while this might be expensive, the hotel manages to maintain a gigantic (room sized) aquarium in the restaurant, which is nice but seems like a waste of money when the other resources aren't adequately maintained

Great location, good layout with rooms and villas and nice aquarium at the restaurant. Good English by Helena at the reception that helped us during the stay.

Pools not heated during our stay, even seawater was warmer. Our room smelled with heavy mold and room cleaning was too simple, floors would need more wet cleaning and dust collection.

Breakfast was extensive. Rooms very clean, spacious and lovely balcony. Pool had different areas so you could have a family area and a quieter area. Several restaurants and bars so different options.

The breakfast room was very crowded and difficult to get sets even at different times. I would have preferred a room with a view not of the pool but it was not clear when booking, what the different areas and views were.

The room was beautiful, with a balcony with a relaxing view of the lake. The bathroom was clean and had a big bathtub, very enjoyable.

if you are looking for place to chill then this option is not really nice, it’s very family place with a lot of kids.
