Raffles Hainan Hotel

We had a wonderful time at the hotel! All the facilities: private beach, river pool, and sports courts (Basketball and Tennis), were amazing. The resort has a peaceful atmosphere thanks to the coconut trees and green spaces, it feels like an oasis next to the ocean. Staff is committed and professional, we really appreciated it. Breakfast on the terrace with the relaxing sounds of fountains was delightful every morning. Overall, our stay at the resort was truly enjoyable, and we look forward to returning soon!

The gym should be open 24/7.

Breakfast time is 07:00 to 11:00 am. It's super! Food options are plentiful and taste good. I liked that it was not crowded. The environment is beautiful. You can eat outside.

It was very difficult for us that the people of Sanya did not know English. But it is good that the staff of this hotel, especially the staff at the reception, speak a little English.

big hotel but lacking a bit cozy feel

service is a bit dum and slow we also experienced the noise phone ring during the middle night which was very scared.The long bar is too big and feeling too empty , and cocktail is very average

helpful staff and service. Nice lagoon style pool. One of the better hotel gyms! Clearwater Bay is a really nice beach area, with gentle waves for swimming.

Shame that all pool toys need to be hired

location and setting, the beach is just lovely, spacious rooms+ our butler Curry made our X-Mas stay just wonderful

a very enjoyable moment on the greatest beach of Hainan island - full autumn moon is definitely the best season: not too many tourists, perfect weather conditions and even the mosquitoes stayed out of our way this time !specials thanks to LIU Weichen (Curry), whose invisible but always caring hand made our stay just perfect !

it’s wedding season and some of the local clients don’t know how to behave - better just ignore them !

The location - in a word perfect. The staff - they go out of their way to accommodate any request you may have, included in this for my trip was making oat milk from scratch on request for my coffee SUPER GOOD!

That we had to leave. It was so close to perfect that we cannot wait to get back!

ordered beef burger and hainanese chicken rice for dinner. good quality of food for room service.garden and private beach are nice. can walk along the beach to a lighthouse

cannot find any convenient store unless walk 1.2 km to a supermarket in local food court. which was not bad since we found also fruits and Ching Bo Leung there.

Beautiful hotel, room, and grounds. Really fantastic gym facilities too. What we loved the most was the huge swimming pool. The beach was beautiful and clean. The breakfast offered plenty of choice.

There isn't much going on around the hotel if you want to wander out of the resort and eat somewhere else. We liked the BaiWei restaurant for its chinese food but we thought the Italian restaurant was not great value for money. Dishes were quite small for the price.

Only good thing is that they upgrade my room to bigger one because they do not have the room I booked. But my booked room have much better sea view. It was sold out due to poor management I think.

1. We wait around 2 hours to check in and final time I got my room card was 5 pm. 2. No any compensation or even some words excuse given by the hotel 3. My leg was hurt due to the poor maintenance of the furniture in the room, a long scar 4. No any compensation for my injure and when I check out no any words given by the hotel staff. The management level of the hotel is less than some 3 stars hotel.

location is nice and the beach is one of the finest in Hainan, rooms are spacious and well maintained but not better than the other good hotels around a shame that staff is so incompetent and not ready to help; for almost 500 USD the night you would expect top notch service and the hotel has nothing really super to offset bad experience with reception staff (three or four times !!!)

the hotel refused to accept an international credit card saying that my bank had a problem (we tried the same day in another hotel and at the duty free shop and it worked fine - also my bank confirmed the card was ok)the staff did not at all try to fix the problem but rather only wanted me to get cash / alternative source of payment - one could only think they were instructed to save the credit card feealso reception staff speaks only very badly English, and again during three days they never tried to solve the issue but only wanted me to get an alternative paymentprobably due to COVID they have no international clients - it’s a pity for an international hotel chain with such a good reputation (I know the one in Manila and the one in Singapore - both impeccable!);

Hotel seems to built in 2013: furniture and some equipment is worn out/ old style. Cannot connect smart phone to sound and video system.

Breakfast was very good . Location of the Hotel is really nice

Sand flies on the beach ... the property should do something to solve the problem ...
