we really liked the resort. Clean environment, good service, very friendly staff, lots of breakfast options. The pool is very effective for spending time. Overall, I really liked the environment. It was quiet and peaceful. This resort is worth a visit.

There was a small refrigerator in the room, but it was not good at keeping things cold.

Beautiful landscape garden and swimming pool. Very spacious room with large balcony overlooking the golf club. A great choice of food was available for breakfast, both English and Chinese.

It's quite a long drive and took 10 minutes to walk from the hotel lobby to the road at the end of the drive. Another 15 minutes walk to the nearby shopping centre/night market.

The place has clearly suffered from the effects of Covid and is still recovering. The staff was excellent and very helpful. However the accommodation needs a bit of refreshing and our pool was not in a fantastic state. Spa was not working. Once those things are fixed I am sure that this place will be a top location again.

Breakfast was ok, there is a continental option, good coffee.

1. Staff does not speak any language, but Chinese. Sure off we are in China (great country), but the hotel should have at least 1 person who speaks international language 2. The villa was very dated and dirty. The stained carpet, fridge and microwave are horrible. 3. I asked to close and end my booking before the reservation date, staff had said that I need to speak to Booking.com, however on the site there was a statement that hotel decides on a matter. I had to strongly insist on return of the money (unblock) and speak several times to hotel manager.... This is below any good customer experience. 4. I was travelling with children and if you want snack during a day, restaurants are closed till dinner and you have to use the nearby shop or order taxi to shop in the village.

Breakfast was standard hotel buffet with a good selection of Chinese and some western foods.

It is a beautifully designed and landscaped resort but a little far from the seafront. They offer shuttles to the beach or food court every half hour but then you have to arrange to be picked up or else walk back. It is next to a golf course so would be ideal for golfers. The villas look very luxurious (we stayed in one of the hotel rooms but there are many villas on site in the garden).Unfortunately the spa, many of the bars and restaurants were closed during June so apart from the swimming pool there is not much to do in the resort itself. Most of the guests are Chinese plus a few Russians so almost none of the staff speak English. I guess they don't expect many foreign guests so don't cater for them. On the positive side, the grounds and rooms are beautiful and a lot of money has been spent on them The price was competitive, probably for the reasons outlined above.

The secluded nature of the villas, the shuttle bus to and from the beach, breakfast has a lot of options (yes, mostly Chinese, but it was tasty).The atmosphere around the complex was very relaxing, our stay was very enjoyable!

Communication was difficult as nobody spoke English or Russian, but honestly, with translator apps on our phones, we were able to solve any problems quickly.

Loved the kids pool outside the room. My daughter enjoyed the princess bed. Public areas were empty most of the time. The resort is beautiful with lots of benches, hammocks and couches to lounge in. Helpful, friendly staff.

The pool felt a bit slimy and dirty the first day we were there but improved the following day. Breakfast is average.

Great location in Yalong Bay, the hotel also offers a shuttle cart to the local food area (which is a 15 minute walk away). The grounds of the hotel are beautiful to walk around, it feels very tropical. Breakfast buffet has many options, both Chinese and Western. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. This is our second stay at this hotel now and we will definitely return when visiting Sanya.

We visited in January and the temperature of the pool was so cold. Our experience would have been 10/10 if the pool was heated.

I recommend this place if you aren't a beach person and just want pool and sun with few others around (which was great for me!). This was a typical resort, but what was good is that most guests stay in the private villas and go to the beach during the day so the common areas are actually not that busy. Pools had a lovely setting among the pond and greenery. There were hammocks and other types of seating areas besides the sun chairs. I loved that the pool was empty during the day (it only got busy after the sun goes down). The dinner buffet was good, even though I don't eat seafood which was 80%. There was more than enough other stuff. At the end of the long driveway is a mall/market area with good restaurants (Korean, Thai, noodles, local, etc.). There are golf carts to take you down or to the beach. Staff were friendly.

Breakfast was fine but mostly Chinese, and they didn't really replenish quickly so if fruit or drinks ran out it might come back for half an hour, if at all. I had a room facing the pools which at first looked great, but if there are children in there (or below you in the family pool rooms) good luck sleeping in. I'd opt for a cheaper room facing the back if I went back even though it's just trees.

Staff that were transporting guests around were very friendly and helpful

Should organise for guests to be tested (for covid) on their site as other resorts had, after all nobody wants to pay for a villa they can’t spend time in because of long queues. Breakfast was bleh.

We didn’t stay in one of the villas - just one of the bedrooms in the main area. We absolutely loved the main swimming pool, infinity pool over looking the lake with palm trees and nature everywhere - so beautiful. The whole grounds of the hotel felt very tropical which we loved.

The room was perfect for our needs, the private pool was excellent and, after a lot of rain, it was cleaned quickly. Very peaceful and secluded area.

Being English, it was difficult to access some of the features the hotel offered. They offered a shuttle bus to and from the reception/beach, but we were not able to use it as no one could speak English. We managed to get by using translation apps.
