The location is really good. It's clean.

You can smell cigarette smoke from other rooms, the room is relatively small.

The location is very convinient

friendly and helpful staff despite language barrier, well thought out rooms and nice decor. Close to the No. 1 line and many buses, including a stop for the tourist bus route.

only 1 room was available at check-in around 13:30, other rooms had to wait until after 4pm. One room was full of cigarette smoke and the windows had to be open all day/night. other rooms smell of smoke too

Stayed many times. The hotel is clean, breakfast is wonderful, rooms are clean, location is great if you are there for the electronics market. The rooms facing the front have plenty of light with large windows across the whole front.

This room seemed smaller than what I'd had previously. Was ok but limited space to fully unpack suitcase and keep things in drawers which I like to do. And bathroom is tiny. Works ok for one; I wouldn't want to stay in that room with two even though they call it a "double" room.

We loved everything about the property. It felt very luxurious and comfortable. The staff were so attentive to detail and cleanliness was excellent. Bottled water, fresh robes and slippers were very welcoming. We would love to stay again!

The location is very convenient. The MTR green Line 1 Huaqiang Station Exit B1 is a two minutes walk away. There is a beautiful huge park around the corner across the road which is great for early morning or evening strolls watching the residents gather to play musical instruments, sing, practice martial arts, etc. Behind the hotel is the Century Plaza shopping mall with lots of shops, restaurants and a large variety of individual small food eateries to choose among. Commuting by MTR to places of interest was easy.My room on the ninth floor was extremely comfortable with a great view of the main street and ongoings. Housekeeping was excellent replacing towels, replenishing coffee and water each morning. The Front Desk staff though limited in English were always on duty, available and attentive to answering questions I had using my iPhone translator app. My room reservation did not include breakfast but I was able to pay 68 rmb at the breakfast area entrance for a very nice variety of dishes.I thoroughly enjoyed my four days stay at the Shenzhen Shanghai Hotel.

That was my second time in this hotel. really nice option for business trip: great location close to subway, good breakfast for Europeans, price is also good! Very friendly English-speaking receptionists. I will definitely come back again.

At first I got room 2301 but its not the level I ordered, but when I asked receptionists for help they kindly provided appropriate room at 4th floor. Thanks.

Everything about the hotel was great, apart from the smell. My god the smell, cigarettes to a nauseating level. Fancies itself a non-smoking hotel but seemingly hasn’t done anything to enforce this for years. Changed rooms, it was just the same across there different rooms and floors. Had to leave with refund and change hotels after one night. If that doesn’t bother you, it seems like a great hotel.

Staff attitude was amazing, I didn't have any issue with communication, hotel is in perfect location in city centre, room was very spacious. Early check in at 12pm is possible.

Perfect location close to train station and malls. Looks really grand like a palace from the outside and the room was luxurious. Definitely would go again!

The wifi connection wasnt stable

Location is close to the metro, close to the mall within a walking distance, various food to choose around the hotel.Breakfast has various choices both traditional and international, vegetarian friendly too. :)

Language barrier was happening, no staff can speak English or understand English clearly. I stayed for 4 nights, the hotel did not provide any hotel amenities in the room. So bad for this quality hotel for not even having a shower cap, the maid threw away my own shower cap and not providing a new one. Sooooo baaaaaaaaaaaaad. Then on the last day (without any conversation with the hotel), the hotel amenities suddenly arrived!!! on the last night!!!! thanks god, what a standard!!! The layout of the bathroom is to have the sink outside the bathroom. This is not that bad, but the bad thing is the Lights are connected. It means that if you want to turn on only the bathroom light, or the toilet light, then the light at the sink is on too. If you are the one who loves to turn on the toilet light at night for some reasons, then the whole room will be lighting up as the sink light is on and the sink is outside the bathroom........

Location was central to many eateries. Friendly staff. They have widespread choices for breakfast and dinner. Overall had an enjoyable and pleasant stay in this hotel.

The hotel staff went above and beyond, responding immediately to my situation and assisting me in getting to the hospital. Their swift action and genuine concern ensured I received the necessary medical care, which was both reassuring and deeply appreciated. The professionalism and kindness of the staff made a challenging situation much easier to handle.
