Crowne Plaza Shenzhen WECC By IHG

As an American visiting China on business for the first time, this hotel far exceeded my expectations. Much nicer than the Crowne Plaza's in the US. Much of the staff spoke English and all were very welcoming and did their best to help. The facilities are absolutely stunning with a gorgeous pool and a riverwalk right outside the hotel door. Robots deliver your take away and there's an ice cream vending machine in the lobby. It's one stop away from the Expo center and the metro (subway) is a 3 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast buffet was among the most extravagant I've ever seen. This is the equivalent of a 5 star hotel in the US.

The location is a bit isolated. There are a few restaurants and convenient stores outside the hotel but that's about it. The food in the hotel (aside from the breakfast) was average.

Since it is a five-star hotel, there were not many breakfast options available. The room was pretty good, and only the issue was with the breakfast. Every day, the same menu was repeated.

Very friendly staff, there was always a member of staff on duty who could speak decent English which is great as the hotel caters for international travellers. Staff also did a very good job of helping in anyway possible and helped to retrieve a lost item without being prompted.

Excellent staff. The room was considerately arranged to accommodate my arrival at midnight per my booking notes.The location is 20 minutes by foot + subway to the airport and 50 minutes to CBD. Subway Line 11 to the CBD has a premium cabin with nice seats so it does not feel that long.Room was spacious with modern facilities.

Nothing from my experience

cleanliness and the breakfast is international, the hotel is large and comfy, even when its almost fully booked you don't feel it. they changed my room immediately because somebody smoked in it before me, which is great customer services, also the reception staff speak English.

the smokers inside the hotel (yes , Inside) in the lobby and in the halls are too many, I don't know if its ok to smoke inside the building or not, but for me its not acceptable. Also no shuttle busses to the exhibition.

Location was a little far out of downtown Shenzhen although convenient for exhibition halls

New hotel close to fair grounds. But frankly speaking fair grounds are big and sometimes better go by metro. Station is close to hotel. Hotel only for fairs visitors. Way to center about 1 hour.

Free internet access is relatively slow, and there aren't restaurant option around.

First of all the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially a big thanks to Mr. Gordon G. [Director of Rooms] who has helped me a lot in many ways. Secondly the facilities are very nice and rooms are spacious and well decorated. The location of the hotel itself is, in my opinion, only suitable if one is visiting in respect to business to be done at the expo center opposite to the hotel. For tourist purposes it is too far out from the city.

The location is perfect for the Exhibiion center. The rooms are spacious and comfortable . And the stuff was professional.
