Mercure Tours Nord

This was the perfect stopover on our road tripThe staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were large enough, the breakfast and dinner were very good, the wifi worked without a glitch, and the parking was directly in front of the hotel.

The scrambled eggs for breakfast weren't great, maybe a bit too much industrial.

The restaurant was very good, food and wine excellent at dinner, efficient and pleasant staff. Breakfast also good until I realised the “gluten-free muesli” wasn’t! I was blowing my nose with runny eyes all day! They need to take allergies seriously.We could have our dog in our room but not in the restaurant. WiFi good. EV chargers worked.

We never like the separate toilet with no hand wash basin in it but that’s the norm in France. I’ve already mentioned the NOT gluten-free “gluten-free muesli”.

Lovely staff from reception to restaurant. Nothing too much trouble. Convenient stop off, near autoroute. Free, easy parking. Good restaurant on site. And bar!Room service available! Breakfast fantastic. Good hot shower. Bed huge and comfortable. Great for staying with our FOUR dogs. Reasonable charge. Nice grassed areas with small woods.

Rooms dated. Badly in need of update. Electrics and fittings tired. Previous room was better. But we did ask for ground floor so maybe not updated yet?

All good, check in, room quality, great food, easy parking, fast access to main roads.

Nice room, good breakfast, also a small kids play area with several coloring sheets to entertain them.

Maybe adding more bread variety could be nice.

Our room was clean, comfortable and quite spacious. Well situated by the motorway, with excellent private parking, which suited our needs. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and overall found the hotel reasonable value for an overnight stay. It would be much nicer to be there in the summer, as they have a nice terrace and outdoor swimming pool, but sadly we were travelling out of season and the pool was shut.

I was really happy with this hotel. We are always seeking out dog friendly hotels in France and this one was really accommodating. The bedroom was a good size clean and comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful. Location was easy to find and close to the motorway on our route to Spain.

It could have been a bit smarter in terms of furniture but that’s all

Located just off the motorway, and only a short drive from the nearby shopping centre, fast food restaurants, and petrol station. It was surprisingly quiet, which was nice after a long drive. Comfortable bedsheets, but the mattress protectors make one sweat.

The coffee machine at breakfast only seems to deliver half-full mugs, which is a bit mean compared to other hotels in the same group, and other competing hotels of similar, and even lower, standing.As we had previously experienced the in-house restaurant, and weren't very impressed (quite a lot of reheated food from frozen, and rather unpalatable vegetarian dishes), we dined out, which means driving, albeit not very far. This is the disadvantage of staying in a hotel outside of the town centre.Mercure hotels used to have a fairly good reputation for decent, and reasonably priced, in-house dining. It would appear that that reputation is long gone, and has been on a downward trend for some time now, as the dining experience in other Mercure we have stayed in throughout France over the past 5 years or so has been similar. This one is no exception to that general trend.

An attractive modern hotel with a good restaurant.

It was so cold. There were notices up saying the temperature never exceeds 19°. I could have died of hypothermia.

Nothing I didn’t like …

Our room was quiet, spacious and comfortable and there was a bath, as we had requested. We had good dinner in the restaurant.

Breakfast was a little disappointing: the food was running out , and the staff were keen to clear up. Maybe we should have arrived earlier!

Perfect location near main travel route for us . Very pleasant staff , secure outdoor parking. Decent meal in hotel restaurant. Very comfortable bed . Clean and pet friendly.

No complaints

Good to have bar and restaurant on site. Staff all lovely and welcoming. Room dated but large and very clean. Nice to have entrance hall and separate bathroom and toilet. Buffet breakfast great with everything available for al nationalities!

This hotel is cheap and functional. Interior design in bar area is shockingly bad. And when you step out of the lifts it is grim with old carpet and grey walls. However room was then a pleasant surprise. Badly needs updating and letting the brand and lovely staff down. But large hotel and selling rooms at low price.

Room and bathroom were very clean. Bed was comfortable. Good temperature in the room but liked the fact it had a huge window which we were able to open. Very happy to return to this hotel if we ever pass this way again.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, it totally met our expectations.
