- Every year I come to CV I always stay here at Oasis Praiamar. I love the facilities and the staff. They are always welcoming, friendly, and go above and beyond with their customer service. It's in a great location and walking distance to 2 beaches and popular restaurants. It has a huge pool to catch some sun and for relaxation. They also offer day passes so you can use the pool as long as you consume a certain dollar amount in food and beverage. All of the staff are amazing! The lady and gentleman at the pool bar were great and make really good caipirinhas. They also have a diverse food menu there. Rosana is the public relations specialist and she is so amazing at her job! She came personally to my door to introduce herself and provide her business card and repeatedly checked on us throughout our stay. She provided her contact for whatsapp and was so easily accessible. She would respond within seconds for any of our inquiries. Not only were we able to check in early, but they allowed us to have an extended late check out to help accommodate our late night flight. They have such a large variety of breakfast food and drinks available, including made to order eggs. The dining areas and rooms are clean. They just repainted recently, so there is a little lingering smell of paint. You have a gorgeous view overlooking the water and beach when you dine at the cliff side restaurant. They came by and did turn down service at 6 pm, and housekeeping would leave cute decorations and real flowers around the room. My first time here was for my birthday 4 years ago, and I was on a solo trip. I came back from dinner to a small cake and the staff singing Happy Birthday to me. It was so special and I always enjoy my stays here.
Cons -
- Room didn't have much space to fit the chair in front of the table because the bed was right behind it, but it still workedThe gym was all broken with machines broken for over 2 years, clearly no one goes there to workout
- We did not like how long it took to have our lunch and dinner served.
- There has been a significant increase in the room prices over the years. Not sure what has caused the increase, but I do wish the prices were more reasonable like they used to be. Hopefully, corporate will listen to this feedback. I also wish they would create some type of loyalty program for repeat customers.

Great location. Not far from the city centre and close to Praia’s best beaches and praia shopping. Good breakfast options. Great helpful and friendly staff.
No dinner options
Good Wi-Fi and decent sized rooms alongside an extensive breakfast choice . I had a late evening check out before a night flight and the staff were kind enough to give me my breakfast to take in a small box.
Only one bottle of drinking water provided free on day one then they charge a fortune for a small bottle. Despite staff saying water with fruit in is available at reception, sometimes it was, sometimes it wasn’t.
The location is fantastic; I liked the pool; the buffet breakfast; the snack bar by the pool and the Panorama bar. Since I was traveling with elder relatives it was great to have options for snacks or light meals.
I didn't like the fact that we had to keep calling maintenance because the water in the shower would not drain in my room. For my Mom and Aunt Room #101, no one should have been assigned that room. Unfortunately, we were informed it was the only room available for a handicap individual. There was water damage on the walls and closet, to the point that half of the closet couldn't be used. The bathroom always flooded whenever one of them took a shower. I spent a lot of my precious vacation time chasing maintenance and housekeeping staff because my Mom and Aunt where at risk whenever they needed to use the bathroom. It was very disappointing for a 4-star hotel to have such an atrocious room. I hope no guests are assigned Room 101 until all the issues are addressed.
I had a fantastic stay! The hotel is nicely located, the pool is stunning, and the restaurants offer delicious food. The views from the bar are beautiful. My room was modern, clean, and comfortable.
The only minor drawback was that the gym's only exercise machine was out of order.
The location was perfect
The rooms are outdated and the staff very unprofessional
Breakfast was enjoyable with an expanded variety. The view and the terrace in the room was also great.
While the room was generally good, it could benefit from some maintenance. Service at the pool area was notably slow, and the environment often felt disorganized, particularly concerning wet floors and misplaced chairs.
Clean and great location.
The only thing I didn’t like about the property was their check out process. There was only one person doing the check out and it took forever. The person was not understanding that I had to be at the airport. I almost missed my flight. For this reason I probably wouldn’t stay there next time. The woman that checked me out was rude.
I have not been able to receive back my overpayment for 1 night at the stay. So please advise where to claim for this. Repeatedly I have requested to the hotel but no response so far.

I like the view of the place and how fresh the place was. I also like the people they were very nice.
I didn’t like the pool because the water is very bad and needs to be changed. I think it has way too much chemicals and it seriously hurts if you open your eyes
I never got to stay
I dislike this place i was so excited to stay here. My flight was cancelled from Sao Vicente to Praia on may 8th I called Hotel Praia Mar to let them know that i wasn't going to be arriving on the 8th when i arrived on the 9th the hotel cancelled my stay and blamed Booking. Booking never cancelled my stay was the hotel who took my room and sold to someone else. This experience made my stay wven better I was referred to Hotel Perola which was a very classy nice great customer service I was very pleased. My family of 30 guest will be referred to hotel Perola for their stay. The employee should’ve engaged a manager for a better resolution before the clients leaves the property. Zero customer service experience. Yall sucked.
We stayed in 3 different rooms as we had to extend our stay due to a flight cancellation, the best and newest ones are the sea view rooms as they have huge & comfy beds and lovely terraces each, the standard rooms really need to be refurbished -some smell really bad as if they had been closed for years, or have no safe or it's broken etc…
Some of the rooms, in particular those facing the sea, can be really noisy at night as there is a bar on the opposite side of the beach that plays loud music until 2:00 or 3:00 am every night. I had to sleep with earplugs.. Breakfast is pretty basic for a 4* hotel -but included in the rate so no complains. But the worst thing by far was the attitude of the two young girls at the reception… they just do not care about guests, pretend they do not understand you when you ask questions, everything including money exchange seems to be too much trouble and they are just rude. The other staff members were all friendly but these ladies should not be working here.
The breakfast was great. The place is in a great location close to beach.
Just my request to decorate room because was my honeymoon, but they apologized and did everything to make me feel comfortable so I really did appreciate that. I would return for sure.
The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful. The dinners we ordered in the restaurant were very good.
Everything was good. They should provide bottled water since the tap water is not potable
The swimming pool and view
The food on one of the nights we stayed wasnt good..especially the pudding
Breakfast was great. The location is very good
The hotel is getting tired. It’s need better maintenance. Shower head was very bad, and the drain from the shower and the shink was bad
Excellent location, friendly staff and restaurant serves good food.
Rooms are old and need revamp. Hot water not always available
Breakfast buffet
The pool was closed during my stay for maintenance. Nothing was mentioned in check in, had to see it for myself, so I had to go to reception for explanation as I had chosen the hotel for their pool. Was able to go to another hotel close by( if I would have wanted to use that pool I would have chosen that hotel) but no compensation nor any gesture was offered.
