The location.

Woa such a luxury hotel for a very cheap price, hotel is new, close to train station, buffet breakfast, nothing to complain.

When we arrived there was a photo shoot at the pool putting us off swimming. Someone smoking in the breakfast dinning area.

Within walking distance of a few places to see around town. Breakfast ok. Rooms very nice

Everything you'd expect from a large, modern hotel. Breakfast good.

Very quiet, almost lifeless. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves in the evening. Not a great deal going on in the vicinity either, so a bit isolated.

The lady receptionist on the evening shift was not happy to answer my questions.

Excellent hotel with friendly staff. We got upgraded to a better room which was excellent. You need a taxi to reach downtown, which are always waiting outside the hotel. Would definitely visit again.

Very friendly staff, gave as a free room update. The room was huge and very nice, breakfast area is beautiful with loads of variety.

We thought the rooms were big (a bit too big..), and the staff were helpful and friendly. And bathrooms were modern.

We were totally disappointed that the spa facilities were non existent despite booking it for this reason. We also didn’t like the stale cigarette smell in the corridors. Hotel felt strange and empty and the breakfast was really poor too. Hardly anything on display despite opening at 6am, nothing was ready or available (had to ask for more milk, hot water and cornflakes).

The hotel recommend us a tour operator to Paradise Cave and Phong Nha Cave, the operator and the program was excellent, highly recommend. The hotel not too close for the beach but perfect if you stay just sleeping like us. Good running route near the hotel.

The Spa and indoor swimming pool was closed for repairs and we had booked only because of the Spa The restaurant was empty on our first evening and we could not find any staff. We walked around the neighborhood and found a place to eat. The next evening the restaurant was open but the food was very substandard.The breakfast buffet on the other hand was very good.

Excellent standard of room for the price (very spacious). A bit out of the way but there’s a great, authentically traditional restaurant around the corner “Cơm Bao Cấp Quảng Bình” which we visited twice. The hotel is only a couple of years old and is well-maintained and clean.

Loud Karaoke on 15th floor

Large comfortable rooms. Powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast covered a range of cuisines with plenty of choices.

Bar area lacked atmosphere. The karaoke room could be heard at times.

With my hand on my heart, I can say that this is the best price-to-quality hotel that has ever hosted me. From beautiful, clean and functional rooms to wonderful and varied buffet breakfast (fantastic bun bo soup!), this property is just outstanding, as are its staff. Whilst I did visit during off-season and not all facilities were working (e.g. spa), there is nothing that I can really fault about my stay. Some of the previous reviewers have criticised the location and the lack of restaurants in the area, but to them I'd say: try harder. The hotel is centrally located, there is an amazing banh cuon place just 300 meters away and a lot more local food a few hundred metres further. It is Vietnam, they have one of the best cuisines in the world, so take advantage of it!All in all, for the price, you won't find the same quality anywhere else in the world - even if you double or triple the price. Putting it all into the right context, I was amazed by Rex Quang Binh in the best possible way and cannot wait to return.

The room was large.

Pool and Spa were closed even though highly advertised and pictured. Only small was written very down below „temporary“ closed for the entire year 2025!Every night loud parties and from 4 am it sounded as if somebody would do sprint training in the corridor above. Drunken guests from noon on and the room wasn’t really clean at all.

Clean and very spacious room. Really good breakfast with hotel staff accomodating for an early check out. Even gave us takeaway boxes as we were rushed for time.

Location was a bit far away from city centre but still walking distance. (~20mins)

I wasn’t there for breakfast and there was nowhere during the day to get one

Staff were not very good at English. We went to the restaurant for diner and that was the most disappointing experience of our visit. You could only buy a full bottle of wine, either red or white. My dinner, duck, was really bad and smelt terrible.My husbands steak was tough and the the chips that it came with, there was only about 7 chips on the plate. Also, a dead piece of lettuce, dry cucumber and questionable tomato.. The room was very good but would not recommend the restaurant.
