Cons -
- Bad management I arrived to the room same time with another guest having the key of my room. Bad maintenance . Water overflow everytime after shower
- The noise from the nearby church all night made it difficult to sleep
- Having to go through a metal detector as if I’m at the airport every time I got back to the hotel

The rate and it is so crowds( There is a lot of people moving around.)
The location and the staff
Phone not working and the price is over priced It is completely ridiculous My plan was to stay 2 weeks but the price on booking.com and on the property is completely different that is why I have to change my plans staying here.
Some of the hotel staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I especially appreciated the concierge named Abinazer. He was invaluable. I also enjoyed the Cascar bar. I want to thank the staff members, especially Seble, sincerely. Seble was incredibly welcoming, warm, and professional; her genuine hospitality made me feel welcome and well cared for. After I told her about my experience with the front desk, she went out of her way to talk to them and find a way to better my stay. She provided excellent customer service, making a big difference in my stay experience. I want to thank Sable for her outstanding service. I truly appreciate her and look forward to seeing her again in the future.
It was a very disappointing stay; it was not worth the money. I recently stayed in this hotel for 1 night april 6-7. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations. The check-in process was slow upon arrival, and the front desk staff was not very professional. We were asked for a double bed but were taken to a king bed, and we had to move out our luggage and check into another room. We were also told we could use the spa ( steam and sauna); unfortunately, they charged extra for the steam and let us use the pool sauna, which was filthy. On top of that, the Wi-Fi wasn't working. The room itself was not up to standard. While the location of the hotel is convenient, I feel that both the service and the facility quality need significant improvement to provide guests with a better experience
The hotel is in a central location.
On March 31, a member of staff sexually assaulted me and my mother. This was our fourth day staying at the Hyatt, so we were familiar with the standard security search. However, on this evening, the security guard approached us and placed the palms of their hands on our breasts to cup, squeeze and grope them. We had not triggered the metal detectors and the security guard did not attempt to check bra wires, pockets or other areas as part of a normal body search. Instead, the staff member charged at us with a hostile expression (no greeting or explanation) and molested us.We went to the front desk to report the incident. They did not apologise but offered to call the manager, Andualem. They explained the situation to him. However, after ten minutes, he still had not arrived. When we asked for an ETA, they confirmed that he should not be taking this long as his office is just downstairs. They attempted to call him three more times before he arrived. The manager's first reaction was to manipulate us into believing that the security officer was justified in fondling our breasts because the metal detector had gone off (which is false; there is CCTV footage). He did not apologise or acknowledge our distress. We requested at least five times to file a formal complaint, but he kept changing the subject, refusing to log an incident report or provide us with the complaints procedure. He repeatedly spoke over us. Eventually, the manager walked off and left us standing there without any explanation. Two days later, Birhanu Tadesse (Security Director) stated that the management team had reviewed the CCTV footage of the assault and mismanagement, apologised on behalf of the General Manager, and said both staff members were under investigation. That afternoon, Otto Kurzendorfer (General Manager) dismissed the incident as "sexual harassment", which is necessary because "we are not in Europe".
Hyatt in Addis is a home away from home. With a great team, including Genet (reception) and Henok (restaurant). Thanks again!
The breakfast was super tasty. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout. The bed was super comfortable.
Beautiful lounge areas and pool, but the staff and their attention to detail was amazing
It’s hard to find anything that I liked. I have seldom seen a hotel so badly managed and kept, from major things (like the cleanliness of the corridors and common areas) to the minor ones (like the utter incompetence of the barman).
Not well maintained. The “lounge happy hour” is a plate with a minimalist selection of cheese and bread: I welcome my guests at home with much a better offering. The sauna’s changing rooms aren’t clean. The housekeeping rings at the door even when clearly instructed to not do so. My room was quite noisy, with poor soundproofing from the outside. The pool looks dirty.
Airport collection was good. The representative waited hours while I tried to locate a missing suitcase and was still there when I finally came out. This is a true 5-star hotel with all the facilities that entails Lovely swimming pool. The staff were excellent especially the receptionists and the concierge and all spoke good English. Good wifi. My room was very quiet. A friend and I ate at the Oriental restaurant. The food was okay and there was local wine by the glass at reasonable cost. I liked that they were happy to wrap up the left overs for me to eat for lunch the following day.
The room was very small and very expensive for 3rd world Africa. The Hyatt direct booking site tries to fool you by quoting the tariff without the significant fees that are added when you go to pay. (On the positive side Booking quotes the total cost which works out the same as going direct.) Breakfast is extra even though the room is very expensive and the airport shuttle costs an extra US$10 each way too.
Good location (a short drive from the airport and in a part of town which wasn’t under construction - huge parts of the city are massive construction sites). The staff were very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our evenings in the bar, which were lively.
The breakfast was a little underwhelming and the carpets in our room were not particularly clean. We also had a ripped duvet cover on our first night.
Excellent customer service.Location is very convenientRoom is clean
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Helped me out in several ways. The restaurants had interesting menus and good quality food at surprisingly reasonable prices.
Nothing comes to mind. I liked the place a lot.
- clean and modern - nice gym and pool area - nice food in all restaurants and room service - super helpful and friendly staff in reception and restaurants - reasonable prices at the spa
- no real spa area (jacuzzi and steam room), only sauna and treatments - rooms a bit pricy for the standard of same hotels in the city
100 piont to hyatt ?the front desk young boy who calls B****,(sorry I forgot the name)is super nice and professional skills with guest.thanks for your service.
Modern facilities. The staff very helpful and attentive to complaints.
Power outages in high-end hotel ? are incomprehensible. Lack of bedroom slippers. Breakfast has too many Ethiopian recipes. That they continue to equip their gym.
