    Pros +

    • The beautiful surroundings and setting. Room was large with wonderful views with balcony adjacent to pools.
    • Location.
    • Easy check-in and friendly staff. Loved the water and garden setting.

    Cons -

    • Breakfast was underwhelming. Too many staff standing around. Food selection poor.
    • While taking shower I found that the shower is blocked so I unblocked it (cleaned drainage plug). Small TV with only few Thai channels, no safe box, two large/tick and uncomfortable pillows, one bedside lamp did not work... NOT 4 star hotel ....

Exceptional facility, far above anything else in the area. It's a little ways to town but that keeps it quiet.

The loaner bicycles need some basic maintenance. They're free so the expectation is low but they all had dragging brakes and were all banged up. I would have paid for a rental bike in better condition.

Good location, good value, nice facilities

A few mosquitoes at night on the veranda.

A decent hotel with separate cottages; there are connecting rooms for families, comfortable beds, and a beautiful setting. In the center there’s a lake with lots of fish you can feed.

There were issues paying by card. The rooms we needed weren’t available even though they were shown on Booking, and there were very few people on the property the whole time I stayed. The breakfast was mediocre and the dining area is very small. The restaurant is good, but you can’t really sit there in the evening because there are a lot of mosquitoes.

Beautiful property, very nicely laid out with ponds & bridges, lots of plants. Very quiet with a nice pool. Away from town, but still close enough to easily get around.

Would have been nice if functional bicycles would have been available to be used to ride around to the park.

This is a beautiful, peaceful oasis in Sukhothai, just 20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bicycle from the old city and very close to the night market and a couple of restaurants. The hotel is very calm and quiet and incredibly beautiful with the lake, gardens and little bridges.Everyone from the staff is so nice and helpful, the service is truly outstanding. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the little balcony is a fantastic addition. Despite the water there aren’t too many mosquitoes around. The breakfast is delicious. We were here during low season and the options were limited, but the staff cooks eggs to taste (e.g. omelette) and the taste and presentation are outstanding. The restaurant is great too, overlooking the lake and serving delicious (if expensive) Thai food.We had a transfer late in the evening on the day of checkout and the staff allowed us to use the room for longer and use the facilities and pool for as long as we wanted. We will definitely be back here next time we come to Sukhothai!

The bathrooms are a little bit dated but they have recently renovated some areas and are starting new renovations. Food at the restaurant is very good but on the more expensive side.

Everything else which is not mentioned in the next question Bicycle to use is perfect

A Little improvement could be to add hooks for towels A good cafe machine would be good as the cafe is not goodMore wine offerings

As the name states - its very charming place, with the lakes, fish and greens around.Room was really nice, specious and clean. We had issue with loud AC and were moved to another room after first night, lady at the reception was very helpful.Breakfast was average, staff really nice and friendly, but we were out of seasson and I guess manager was not around, staff was on the phones when bored during breakfast, which is not really usual for 4* resorts.I have seen (but not used) they have bicycles for rent/land, which is great thing for seeing the historical park and ruins around. Also they sell food for fish and you can feed them.Small capsule coffee machine would be nice instead of instant coffee in the rooms :)In general it was really nice stay, Sukothai and this resort are very beautiful

A beautiful setting each room having views and terraces out onto one of the numerous lilly ponds/lakes. The rooms themselves had a lovely, calming ambience and were of good size. The staff were friendly and wanted to help but lacked the insight into customer needs to meet expectations.

A radical staff training programme needs to be undertaken to:-1. help staff meet the guests needs,2. Improve food and drink quality (buffet food was being left unattended for 3+ hours, standard cocktails were incorrectly blended, staff standing around chatting or looking at their smartphones)3. Initiate maintenance programmes (our room door had dropped on it's hinges and we had to twice request that it was fixed even though staff knew it was an issue)4. Deal with mosquito prevention (currently staff are spraying and igniting smoke type bombs when customers are in the vicinity and the staff are not even protecting themselves with masks)5. ensure wifi quality is as it should be (and not continually dropping off).In addition an on-site manager is needed to supervise all aspects of the hotels daily operation. The Le Charme team are willing but they really do need help, training and supervision.

    The garden

The bungalows are semi detached with poor sound insulation.

    8HelenaPosted on: 3-9-2025

It is a beautiful and magical place surrounded by plants, little bridges and ponds. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There's a nice pool and you can rent bikes for free. Breakfast was okay.

The massage we had wasn't very good, or rather they didn't seem to have had a lot of training. Wouldn't do a massage there again.

    8ChristinePosted on: 2-26-2025

The entire resort was well designed and private, giving an air of seclusion. The room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the water gardens. They served lunch and dinner in an area overlooking the “lake”. The food was tasty and well priced. They had a massage room and would recommend the Thai massage and reflexology foot massage, so good.

The breakfast had a large variety, but the coffee was awful. There was a large variety of Asian options, but less so for western options. Fruit selection could have been better and there were no pastries. While the serving staff were helpful the front desk staff less so. When asked about places to eat or other suggestions they could provide very little assistance. They provided complimentary bicycles, but they were not well maintained. Used on one day, but was not good, ended up hiring a bike from a hire place down the road which would recommend as they were well maintained and proved much easier to ride. Worth the 40 Bhatt for the day.

The beds were super comfortable, and great chairs in the room! Breakfast featured a good choice of food at the buffet. Room was very large.

Some of the staff were a bit grumpy. The pool water was very cloudy.

    8LeoPosted on: 2-2-2025

Free bikes at our disposal.Front desk arranged transportation. With bike it was easy to ride to main area.

A few mosquitoes around in common bathroom.

    8SusanPosted on: 1-31-2025

Breakfast was very good with all the typical things and some local foods. Location of property is not far from the Main Street and having available bicycles at the property was a bonus. Property is lovely.

Shower water could have been hotter. Otherwise all else was good.
