Beautiful and calm

Charming oasis of a hotel. Nice pool in a very cute courtyard/garden. A small hotel that never felt crowded. Breakfast was really nice and served in beautiful surroundings. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made us feel so welcome. It was our honeymoon and the room was beautifully decorated and we even got a cute gift and a handwritten card. Even though it is not the most central location, it was only a short taxi ride to the old town. Hope to come back!

Excellent comfort and amenities. The staff was wonderful and anticipated your every comfort. Tropical garden, peaceful, nice pool, great breakfast!

Needed taxis or tuk-tuks to get to the Night Market & temples but many cafes & restaurants within walking distance.

Such a lovely place! The owners are amazing and really go above and beyond to create a great vibe. Our room was very atmospheric and cozy, and the pool area is just excellent. The breakfast was also delicious every morning.At first, we were a bit worried that the hotel was too far away, but the location turned out to be perfect—slightly away from the tourist crowds and very peaceful. You can get everywhere very quickly and cheaply using Bolt or Grab. We’ll definitely be back!

A beautiful oasis in the city. Artwork and gardens everywhere. Small size creates a serene, intimate atmosphere. Wonderful breakfast and staff.

The distance from the Old City (not far, perhaps 7 minutes by tuk tuk) was not ideal for us, as we like to be able to walk everywhere easily.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was very clean and well kept. Very beautiful in every direction you turned. It was peaceful and relaxing. It felt on the luxurious side with all attention to details around the property, inside the room and the staff. The decor was Thai style with teak wood. Room was spacious, and beautiful. Staff came around and lit mosquito coils at each rooms outside seating area and turned on outside lamps in the evenings. Breakfast area was beautiful and great food. Made to order eggs and fruit and yogurt bowl. Many other options and menu changed the 2 days we were there. Staff always greeted us warmly when walking to and from our room and around property. We look forward to staying here again.

It's our second time staying at Hongkhao and all were just as amazing as we remember from the first time. Room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony above the swimming pool. Also, there is a cozy coffee shop named Undo Studio that is worthy to visit. Recommending anyone who wants a relaxing and affordable stay in Chiang Mai to give Hongkhao a chance!

A fabulous place — spotless, exceptionally clean, with very friendly staff. The location is convenient, just 10 minutes by car to the old city and about 15 minutes from the airport.

We ordered a room for our 3 children through booking.com. The owner there was reluctant to accept it. In addition, after letting us in they didn’t arrange an extra bed and demanded that our daughter would sleep on the coach with no sheets (“we don’t have sheets that are suitable for this size”).

I love HongKhao Village because it’s an oasis with an excellent pool, rooms and gardens as well as an amazing breakfast selection. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The pool is clean and a relief from the heat. I stayed five nights and loved every day there.

The place is homey, exotic, clean and had an excellent breakfast.

Perhaps the only holdback might be its location, but moving around with either Bolt or Grab is cheap and quick.

Although the property is not very central, it was easy to get tuk tuks or taxis to get around. The hotel was a haven of peace and we especially enjoyed sitting by the pool surrounded by the beautiful gardens.Our room was spacious and had a separate bathroom and dressing area. Some rooms had private terraces or balconies but ours didn't.Breakfast was served in an adjacent building which was really charming - flower and plant-filled with a soothing water feature. The food was exceptionally good - plenty of fresh fruit, eggs done to order, juices and cereals but also many local specialities. We found the staff welcoming and helpful.

The location might be an issue for some people but we really didn't find it a problem. We explored by day and enjoyed coming back to the peaceful haven provided by the hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a wow moment went we got off a busy street and heated taxi..From the delicious breakfast — not only was everything made fresh to order alongside the buffet, but the scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and the fresh fruit selection was simply delightful. Rooms : our room was on the upper floor and it was a specious room, the fridge was in the bathroom which we found quite strange but did not mind :)

The one thing we would mention is sadly upon arrival our room was set up to be 3 seperate beds and my partner asked right away to have this joined and was noted to be no problem, however sadly when we returned late from dinner this was not carried out and we spend the night in 3 seperate beds... They did amend the beds ( pushed then toghter ) the next day however the bedding and all elements stayed seprate so did not feel it was truly a large bed and felt that it was not what we were looking for. Slight note on the nighttime noise that is carried - some nights we would hear the cats and animals running on the roof which was quite strange and sounded slightly scary - however we did not mind it too much in the end The air conditioning does not really reach the bathroom so the ventilation there is quite limited and get's quite hot.

Beautiful environment. We really appreciated the Lanna architecture and style. Round every corner was something lovely to enjoy. Our family room was spacious and welcoming. Comfy beds and again pretty decor. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our daughters particularly loved the pool which was perfect and we all enjoyed the generous, delicious breakfasts in a delightful courtyard. Grab taxis to the centre were not expensive and it was so peaceful. One our favourite ever places we have stayed. We would recommend 110% ?

The location was not walking distance to any main attractions.
