Thai Akara - Lanna Boutique Hotel

The room and balcony were spacious and well equipped. The hotel buildings are very elegant and look delightful when lit up at night. The staff were exceptional friendly and efficient.

Because it is within the old city, it's possible to walk to good restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly.

There were a lot of noise coming from nearby bar/club until late into the night. I had to wear earplugs in order to fall asleep. Also, there was a large group of Europeans that packed the breakfast buffet. I think the staff were not prepared for a crowd

Our deluxe room was amazing with a great bathtub, comfy bed and spacious layout. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful too. Breakfast is an added plus.

The room was beautiful, the property was well maintained and located in the Old City. Very easy to walk around and find fun things to do. Breakfast was very well done. Very fresh food and a wide variety of options. Staff was very helpful getting a great place to eat and arranging a cab for our tour! Front desk staff helped with our laundry and with many questions! I highly recommend this hotel.

Quiet location, staff, comfortable, food

Location. Is perfect -walkable and within the old city. The facilities were beautiful and room was well appointed. There is a pool and a bar on site. Breakfast was a good spread and offered daily. Monika was amazing and kind and a lovely staff member.

We had asked initially if the hotel could arrange for a ride from the airport. The driver was not there and when we contacted the hotel, it took a while for them to connect with the driver and we still could not locate the driver so we just took a taxi. The hotel staff member was very insistent that the driver was there and kept pressing us to look for the driver and then when we arrived, proceeded to want to emphasize that again. It was really annoying and they need to not do that- as it sets off the stay in a bad way. What they should have done was apologized the driver was not there with a sign as stated and left it at that. I also did not like that they write down your credit card number on their paperwork — that is not secure and they should update their methods and just pre-authorize the card like other hotels do- It is not a secure way to handle customer credit cards. They also should give guests a tour when they arrive and show around the facilities and amenities ( we didnt even know there was a gym and a 2nd pool until we were leaving).

We had a great stay. The location is perfect and the staff was so welcoming and friendly. They even brought out a cake at breakfast for one of our guest's birthday. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful property tucked into the Centre of Chiang Mai. Room was very comfortable, warm small pool. Friendly staff. They even brought birthday cake for my son at breakfast which was greatly appreciated.

The only caveat… if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room further from the restaurant. Breakfast starts at 6:30am(which is great for early morning tours)but restaurant is open to outside so you can hear staff getting ready for breakfast and early diners. Not major but could be if light sleeper!

Gracious, quiet, welcoming oasis in Chiang Mai. The rooms are gorgeous, the amenities are lovely, and the staff is exceptional! Beyond great hospitality for routine services, they offered extra help with early arrival, storing baggage after we left, transport arrangements, food recommendations.

The entrance is down an alley so takes a minute to find. This is common in Chiang Mai we learned.

The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast spread is impressive, covering everything from local Thai flavors to international favorites. The room was cozy with a great bath, and the complimentary mini-bar was a generous touch. Highly recommended!

Amazing property in a great neighborhood. The room was large and bed was very comfortable. Loved the smell of the shower soap. Truly the best ever.

It is a lovely hotel situated right in the heart of the old town. It is at the end of a little back street therefore is super quiet and peaceful despite being so central. It even has its own pool which is a decent size given the location. Our room was huge with a massive very comfortable bed and an awesome bathroom on with bath and separate shower.

Nothing, it suited our needs perfectly and is one of the best places to stay in Chiang Mai.

The property was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The room smelled AMAZING. The food and drinks were also excellent. Great stay in general, would definitely recommend.

The ONLY issue was these tiny ants that would appear out of nowhere in the bathroom and one morning had several crawling on my phone when I picked it up off the nightstand. Not every day and overall no bother.
