Pros +
- Location ,design ,comfy bed ,great breakfast
- Hotel furniture is very unique & does not feel like a hospital sort of where everything looks the same. The victorian style furniture across the hotel was very uniqueLocation is so quiet & hidden away from main road & its is in the middle between the old town & the upclass Nimman Area where night life is
- Great rooms with good size and lots of style. Good value for the amenities included, including a well stocked breakfast buffet.
Cons -
- Breakfast was wayyy to Thai & not that I don't like Thai food. But if there were at least name tags for each dish on the very long line up of dishes I would have tried a bit more than white rice & an omelette Also coffee option was not okay with a jar of instant coffee. This is Chiang Mai & its well known for good coffee
- Toothbrushes are not included with the room which is dissapointing for a supposedly 4-star hotel.Location is not very convenient for exploring Chiang Mai, being north west of the old town when most of the attraction are within and to the east.
- We had a room on the east side of the building, so no view at all. Also the hotel used to provide a shuttle service to/from the airport, but this doesn't exist any more.

Very nice breakfast and excellent location - also very peaceful at night.

The staff was great, and the breakfast for 400bah each was good as well
The gym did not have much, just some cardio machines
Location ,bed comfy
I have checkd in at 3.00pm the reception the man name fy or ariyachai said the client have to wait for 15minute the roome not ready …I quite not happy because the staff seem dont care for keeping client waiting and not even apologize …I said I booked the room through booking.com on the early check in condition…and the time when I check in was 3pm it already late ,when I turn away from the reception (ariyachai or fy ) he pouted or skew face to me when I turn away from him and my friend who came with me she saw it. This kind of manner was bad attitude of the hotel service ..and it shoud not ever happen …I was the client who was regularly stay this hotel for longtime since at ping nakorn nimman ,huaykaew ,riverside .For the room I got is no.503 ..the Bath room the water is leaking on the floor of bath room which is dangerous ..you can slip at night because the wet floor from water leak at under the sink ,it seem they never repair ,this bath room is too narrow for senior or disable person . The telephone in the room was not working at all.
I love everything about this hotel, from the location, the French eclectic DECOR, comfortable mattress and lovely bedding. cleanliness, breakfast buffet, the pool, the service staff, even the cost was affordable for three adults; just amazing! I will be referring to all my friends.
I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.
The pool and breakfast were very nice and room decor interesting.
We had the family suite, which is very big and pretty, but with no sound isolation - people having breakfast (under our window) woke us up every morning. There was not so many staff in the afternoon. We could not order drinks by the pool (bar open, but none there). One day there was a huge wind by the pool, there was no staff to be seen. I was running around clearing the dishes left by other guests, closing the parasols as some were flying off, etc. Finally, the next day my girl drank pool water and vomited on the side of the pool. My husband cleaned most of it before he alerted the reception staff (again, no one by the pool). They insisted they finish the cleaning - only to tell us the next day we are to be charged 30€ for the service. We were not impressed, especially since we really helped prevent a lot of damage in the storm.
My same-sex partner and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks and overall, we had a really pleasant experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and tastefully decorated, creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The location is great if you're looking for peace and quiet—tucked away in a tranquil alley about 200 meters from the main boulevard, which keeps traffic noise to a minimum. However, it's worth noting that the hotel is aligned with the runway of Chiang Mai airport, so you will occasionally hear planes taking off or landing. It didn’t bother us too much, but light sleepers might want to be aware.Getting to the Old City is easy and convenient—just a 5 to 10 minute taxi ride costing around 100 baht one way. Walking is also an option, with the distance being about 1 to 2 kilometers. The surrounding neighborhood felt very safe, with plenty of nearby restaurants, massage parlors, and laundry services, which made our stay even more comfortable.
Breakfast was a bit of a mixed experience. The quality was good, but the selection leaned heavily towards Asian cuisine, with limited Western options. I personally enjoyed it, but my partner, who prefers Western breakfasts, found it less appealing. Additionally, the hot dishes were often lukewarm or cold, as the warming trays weren’t plugged in—a small detail that could be improved. One other thing to be aware of is the jacuzzi. While it looks inviting in the photos, the water is unheated and the same temperature as the pool. Western guests expecting a hot soak might be surprised by how cold it is.Despite these minor drawbacks, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for travelers who appreciate a quiet, well-kept place with friendly service and don’t mind a few cultural differences in amenities.
The breakfast had a huge variety of food to choose from. The hotel is near Maya and has many shops, spas and salons within walking distance. Even though it is right downtown it is surrounded by trees so you feel like you are in the jungle while swimming. Amazing ?
We didn't have hot water in the evenings. Reception was friendly but not really attentive. They didnt acknowledge me while I patiently waited at the counter and forgot to tell us they checked our room when checking out so we just sat there and waited for no reason. The pool was sooo cold. Refreshing but we couldn't stay in thw water for more than a couple minutes. The aircon worked well in most of our suite but not in one of the rooms so we had to sleep with the door open to get ac from the living room.
Breakfast was okay. Buffet and coffee.
Shower was so dirty we had to call the staff to clean up. Bed is fragile and wall seems pretty thin you can hear next doors. Also no make up room service unless you inform them beforehand which was not informed when we check in. Staff were generally so not helpful. Shower by the pool also doesn’t work and shower in the room sometimes has extremely hot water. The room prepared was different from the reference. Did not have a bathtub although we booked a room with one. One of the worst hotels ever.
Beautiful hotel in good location. Comfortable and clean. Staff super helpful and friendly. Well done team!
The breakfast and decoration
The pool was too cold
Beautiful hotel and pool area, lovely comfortable rooms. One new member of staff very pleasant and helpful.
Wrong pin on hotel location therefore taxis went to wrong place and difficult to locate. Huge breakfast choice for meat eaters, very little choice for vegetarians and minimal fresh fruit. Tour information in hotel misleading and requires updating as we booked and paid for trips which weren’t as advertised and had disappointed children! Pool looked gorgeous though very cold.
Oh what a lovely stay. The decor was fabulous and so welcoming and staff were very warm and helpful. I absolutely loved the breakfast spread as it was elaborate, however continental options were very limited. The spread was majorly thai (which I loved!)
The rooms were definitely spacious and Ould accommodate three guests and all their luggage without feeling cramped. The pool was amazing! The hotel is at a walking distance from the center of Chiang Mai. Also, the excursions recommended at this hotel were truly amazing
- The hotel equipment and furniture was a bit worn, and this is something one would not expect from a 4 star hotel.- The staff, with few notable exceptions in the reception, projected a sense of unwillingness to communicate, cooperate and actually respond to some of our inquiries- The breakfast was poor in Western "standards". It has a HUGE selection of hot Thai dishes to chose from, but if you are looking for more "breakfast" options, you re in for a treat: they were two plates with 3-4 croissants and 5-6 pancakes that were never refilled, even when explicitly asked kindly to check with the kitchen (croissants) or make to order (pancakes). Guests had the opportunity to ask for screambled eggs/omelette/pancakes but the staff were SO SLOW to actually make them, so one may not eventually eat them... There was a bar with a bartender that offered the option of one cup of coffee/chocolate/tea/juice per person for breakfast, which is rather strange as even in lower status hotels, there is the option of the coffee machine for guests to refill, and not having to pay for an extra cup.
staff, breakfast and how quiet the setting was in.
The hotel is beautiful decorated and in a quiet area, close to Nimman shops.
The beds are really hard and they don’t have toppers for the double beds, so sleeping was a challenge. They should also think of a solution for the windows not being able to close, because the room was full of bugs. Continental choice of breakfast is limited and not tasty.
This was a fabulous stay for us - Mom/Dad and early 20 something son. The breakfast/pool area was beautiful and breakfast was delicious. Everything was as described and great location to explore the city from.
Room was nice and clean, we loved the hotel and its quirks. The breakfast was very good and included fresh coffee and other drinks. We enjoyed the pool facilities. The location of the hotel was good for us and it was easy to get to the centre. Value for money.
Hand soap in bathroom wasn’t provided.
