Lis Hotel Chiangmai

The hotel is beautiful. It's of a small road about a mile south of old town gate where there is a lot happening (the markets and street food scene is happening in this area). The complimentary breakfast spread is amazing. It's easily the best complimentary breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. They have both western staples like waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon as well as Thai food. The pork larb and chicken stir fry were both delicious. They change it up daily. They also have several items including cut fruit, yogurt & granola, overnight oats, to help yourself throughout the day in the fridge and sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf at room temp on the counter. They had small touches that were thoughtful including endless supply of glass water bottles available for guests anytime. The staff are extremely helpful and always around if you need anything. There were bike rental parking station on site, that can be used all over the city.

Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast and snacks throughout the day (including as much bottled water as you want). The pool was very nice with sun and shade. Rooms were very new and had views of the mountains. Elevator worked great.

There was no place to put anything in the room (no drawers) You're forced to live out of your suitcase. There's also no shelf at all in the bathroom (just a very small shelf above the sink in the room). The room in general was small.

Very clean, calm, welcoming space, a short walk from the old city and short ride from the airport.

There were some tiny ants but they were not really a problem

Cute simplistic, modern style with a great breakfast

The shower is poorly made. The bathroom floor would always flood. My room smelled very musty because of this issue , which is a really bad sign because probably has mold in the walls.

We had an excellent stay at Lis Hotel Chiangmai. The service was outstanding and the staff were always kind and helpful (they also helped us arrange tours and transportation). The rooms were spotless, very comfortable, and felt fresh with new-looking furniture.The location is very convenient, close enough to downtown to get anywhere easily, but slightly away from the busy/noisy streets, so it’s perfect for resting. We also loved the small thoughtful touches: 24/7 water available at reception, including cold bottled water, plus a snack corner with noodle cups, cereal, yogurt, etc. Those details made our stay extra convenient.

Honestly, the only “problem” is that we stayed only 4 days… and now we wish we had booked a much longer stay ? Everything was excellent.

Staff is very friendly and ready to help. homemade bread and jam at breakfast are delicious. Highly recommend to try Onsen. That was very nice and relaxing

Nothing to complain

This was my second time staying at Lis, and I still think it’s a great value option. It’s a bit removed from the main tourist areas in central Chiang Mai, which I actually prefer. The neighborhood is quieter and more relaxed. The rooms are minimalist but bright and flooded with natural light, which makes them feel more open and inviting. The small pool serves as a lovely centerpiece and adds a more elevated energy to the property (though it’s not quite small and not very functional for swimming). The staff couldn’t be kinder. They truly make the experience.Also, the breakfast, while simple, was pretty decent.

I found the beds to be quite hard and extremely uncomfortable, which makes it hard to stay more than a couple of nights. If the beds were improved, it would easily be one of the best value stays in Chiang Mai.

Clean, responsive staff, lovely drink and snacks available all day, great hearty breakfast.

I wish I could have stayed longer

Great place food good sleep and peace. It’s quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is not great though.

Good breakfast

No hot shower, no room cleaning due to miscommunication, safety deposit box difficult to set up, no water kettle in the room. On the second day we could move to another room where hot shower was available.

One year old hotel so everything is as good as pictures! Friendly & kind staff, good breakfast.

Very clean and convenient

I wish there is a water kettle for us to make tea in the room without having to go down to the common area to get hot water.

The staff are so nice! Very clean, comfortable bed, they have fruit and coffee all day!

The brakefast can be little bit better for vegetarian

Everything! The rooms, the pool, the spa, the STAFF! Beyond exceptional service! I have travelled to over 47 countries , stayed in every kind of property, and LIS is my favourite! Shout out to every single staff member for their daily kindness, love and attention and particularly the management who offer the most special, loving place for staff and guests! Bedroom can smell food in the morning. I think there’s something wrong with their kitchen exhaust.
