Location surrounding with many good restaurants. Room planning and size (deluxe suite on 1st floor). Rooftop bar.

The sound of cars running comes into the room because the hotel building is next to the road.

The hotel is beautiful and clean, decoration is very nice, and restaurant has excellent food.Staff is friendly.

The location was perfect! Easy to walk around and get to places.

The reception. We had the worst luck with the receptionist. She couldn't provide us with any information. I also asked her about a few of my concerns, such as noises, spa bookings, and cocktail delivery to the room ( this can only be ordered from 6pm on, btw ) And this was the scary part. After dinner, we returned to the room, and our balcony door was open. We made sure we locked it before we left. We found random fruits on the table and the sofa (we didn't have fruits in the room). It was around 11 p.m., so we, being two girls, got scared. I called the reception to come up to check, and she said she had no idea what it was.The morning I came down to check out, the receptionist said she had already spoken to the housekeeper, and they told her that they had closed the balcony. I told her it was open, so we called right away. And I did ask what would happen if our stuff went missing? She said No idea because the housekeeping said they closed it. ? She also mentioned that she had already told her manager about everything, and this is the solution they came up with, which is no solution. We are also Thai residents, and this is very unusual services.

Amazing hotel! Rooms are huge with beautiful balconies. Really clean, friendly staff and streaming services on the tv. Breakfast is the best we have ever had! Two swimming pools with one on the rooftop bar area.

Just to note that the hotel is an easy 15/20 minute walk from the center.

The deluxe balcony river view room was perfect, big and very comfortable. Very nice breakfast options. The top roof swimming pool and bar are great after a day exploring Chiang Mai.

The staff was generally quite rude. Well, the front desk staff.This does makes a really big difference to your stay.It's my 6th time in Chiang mai, and I have never encountered this before .Is not exactly cheap in comparison with other places in Chiang mai and you expect the service to be what you paid for.

We absolutely loved this hotel from the second we walked in. The staff are absolutely amazing the room is absolutely fabulous. The smell when you go in was so nice. Bags taken right up to your room on arrival. Towels changed everyday! We didn’t realise until day 2 you can get pool towels on the top floor. Everywhere was very clean. Staff always on hand to help. Location was really good also! 10 min walk from local markets!

Staff services are very good, especially three ladies of the front desk.

Slippers could be more clean, shower pressure is too weak, some small bugs are on the floor.

The staffs were really nice. The room is big with capsule coffee machine, Bluetooth speakers, bathtub, free Netflix and YouTube!!!!

No restaurant or coffee shops in hotel. Has restaurant next door but no discount for hotel guests.

The room was big and the bed and pillows very comforrable. I love their roof top bar as it has a great view of the surrounding mounrains. Perfect lighting for photos at sunset. The staff was also excellent. When I candelled my breakfast after waiting an hour for it (it was provided by the adjacent restaurant), the hotel refunded me. That is a sign of good service.

The balcony was also very big but I wish they had a parasol or a fan to protect the guests from the sun. Unfortunately we couldn't really enjoy it because of the heat. Too bad.

The check-in experience lacked warmth and hospitality, with minimal acknowledgment from the staff and a noticeable absence of friendly greetings. Throughout my stay, there was a consistent lack of warmth and greetings, which felt odd, especially given that hospitality has been a standout feature at every other place I've stayed in Thailand. I also didn't like that check-out was prolonged, causing a delay in my scheduled departure. Improvements in customer service and efficiency would enhance the overall guest experience. Comparatively, I had a far better stay at nearby Airbnb in this exact area, where I spent a week for a fraction of the cost of just one night at Sala Lanna. Improvements in service quality are needed to justify the expense. I would recommend a friend to spend their money elsewhere.

Quite disappointed with this hotel for the price. The room was really nice, the reception staff were great. However, I have never seen a more un-inviting swimming pool. When we arrived there were no sunbeds, despite the hotel photos advertising fake grass and sunbed areas. It was actually just a concrete area, which again was un-inviting. We thought we would probably be able to request them, but the swimming pool was full of leaves on arrival. It’s cleaned every morning but that’s not enough when it’s surrounded by trees. The staircase into the pool is wooden and probably an accident waiting to happen. The hotel has a rooftop pool which saved the experience for me, because I wasn’t to checkout as soon as I saw the main pools false advertising. The rooftop pool was much more cleaner and acted like private pool. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again because there are areas which seem like the hotel isn’t interested. If I wasn’t on a non-refundable rate, I would have asked to checkout early

This is the second time we come back to stay at Sala hotel. We loved the spacious balcony with river view. The staffs were very nice and helpful especially the security guard, he is super nice and kindness..
