Singha Montra Lanna Boutique Style Hotel

The property was absolutely beautiful! The room, the building, and the jacuzzi tub exceeded my expectations. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. I would absolutely stay again.

Old-style room, lots of dark wood but drapes around the bed. We enjoyed the jacuzzi bath, but it needs a step to enable guest to climb in.

No restaurant in the hotel, although the buffet breakfast was perfectly adequate.

Beautiful property and friendly staff. They were accommodating with our late night check in as well!

We loved the breakfast and it was plentiful. It also was very nice to have the extra snacks throughout the day available. The staff were lovely and the omelets were amazing. We did enjoy the location as well.

Property is unique but is in dire need of repair and renovation.

The lack of Maintenance of the property, had to change bedroom due to old and dirty carpet. The facility is neglected by the owners.

Great hotel with friendly staff, very nice free snacks and coffee downstairs, 24/7 reception and pool, and very large rooms with private Jacuzzis. Hotel is older and a bit worn down, but it is absolutely beautiful and has so much character and style. Amazing art throughout the place, including in the rooms.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable but it was fine - typical for Asia. Otherwise perfect!

Booked this out of chance as we had a late flight and wanted somewhere close by, this hotel is stunning and so nice, the staff couldn’t do enough for you, didn’t get to look around the area as much as had things planned, but would definitely be back again.

Greeted with the biggest smile ever, receptionist was very kind and attentive,l. Explained about all the facilities very well and was always ready to help when we had a query.

The snack bar could do with a little bit more attention as the fruits go off easily due to the weather.

The location was very nice to meet local places and people, and not too far from centre either. Loved the jakuzzi in the room, which actually was the size of an actual apartment. The design of the hotel was so unique, our favorite hotel in Thailand

Stayed here two times because we loved it so much. Great room, lovely staff! They provided us with unlimited snacks and roses for the bathtub even though we didn’t book this, and they carried our luggage upstairs without us asking. Definitely recommend:)

Staff was incredible and answered every request with effort and concern.

Shower pressure, keeping mosquitos at bay, having a microwave, and the quality of the "Western Side" of Breakfast (the Thai Side was really good). They could also stand to put a small table in the room (the room is big enough). The carpets in the room need to be removed and replaced.

Everything has the real touch of Chiangmai. All the furnitures are made of real wood. Huge jacuzzi!!!! Spacious bedroom and bathroom. For those who likes Thai decoration or wood this is the place. But it is normal that with this deceration you cannot compare the brightness of the room with the modern style hotel. Best of the best is the staffs. All of the staffs there are so attentive and welcoming. All day snack is free at the breakfast room. Although i did not have the snack but it is very generous for the hotel to provide so many things from juice, dried fruit, fresh fruit or even toast with jam and peanut butter. Parking is limited but not a problem as the lane is quiet and you can park along the lane. i can always find a spot right infront of the hotel everytime i came back. I will definitely go back there.

It was not a big problem for me but the shower tab should be changed and elevator should have monthly maintenance.

Nothing. If I could have rated it a 0 I would have! Avoid this hotel at all costs! I have never written a review for a hotel before but I honestly wouldn’t want anyone to stay here and experience what we did!

We booked a Nakaramontra Senery Suite for our honeymoon. The room was dirty, old and unsafe! The hot tub was peeling, sink unit (wooden) was all broken, there were big gaps between the windows and wall (so bugs could get in), some plug sockets were taped to the wall, towels were so old that holes had been worn in them and the bed sheets were covered in stains. Floor 2 was also covered in items and rubbish. Staff doors were left open, unlocked and in an unsafe condition. After telling the hotel staff that it wasn’t clean enough or safe to stay in, they refused to give us a refund and we were left waiting at reception for 5 hours whist they contacted their only manager, who was away in China! We asked for a refund so that we could book a different property and they refused. We were offered some sparkling wine or free breakfast (which I had already paid for in my stay). Neither of these options came close to the money we had spent on our stay here. We then had to spend more money booking a different hotel for the 5 nights we were in Chiang Mai (over the Christmas break!) which was very expensive. To this day we have still not revived any adequate compensation or refund and we are in contact with Booking.com and our bank. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY STAYING HERE!

When walking into the hotel it looks amazing with the art work, details, decorations and fresh flowers. The room is huge and the bed was setup nicely. The breakfast is okay and you can snack all day.The person dealing with the messages on bookings is very responsive and helped us at immigration with the paperwork.We had a big wrap around balcony, but no where to sit on it.The bathroom was so big, apart from the toilet, sink area and shower, it had ample room for a 4 person jacuzzi.

It's sad to see the difference from the pictures to real life.They were taken a while ago.When we drove down the street and saw the hotel we both got a bit disheartened. The lack of maintenance goes all the way through the hotel, broken toilet seats, shutters with missing hinges, shower fixtures, etc. There seems to be some hoarder mentality going on here as well. Don't use the stairs to get to your room, the 2nd floor looks like a building site. There is a empty fridge in the outside seating area, for no reason an old scooter and loads of old plant pots and a garden hose for you to admire while having morning coffee. The elevator worried me a bit, the doors seem to open and close with some delay and the operation panel is loose. Its ashame as a lot of the things that make the bad impression of the hotel is something that could be rectified easily and if done I would rate it much higher. It has so much potential this hotel. Maybe I'm being to hard here, but I work in the service industry and it's just looks like they need a fresh pair of eyes and a kick in the butt to get this in order. When we arrived one of the tables out front had a used smoothie cup on it, it was there for two days.

Not a lot it’s slightly getting old needs a little update but for the price it’s more then makes up for any criticism

The staff were very polite and welcoming and this was the best part of the stay.

The property was not well kept, the facilities were poor and the hot tub in our hot tub room was not useable as it did not have a feature to stay warm. The room cleanliness was also not great. Additionally, the security was questionable as our windows in our room did not close fully nor lock.

The property needs a lot of revamp. It’s extremely old and it shows. The room was not clean, the carpets were extremely dirty. The room we stayed in was supposed to have a view. But instead it had the neighbouring building right across and there was zero privacy.

Room an hot tub was lovely and such an enormous size.

Carpets a bit old, with some stains. Despite this we had a lovely stay. Thank you.
