The Rim Chiang Mai

My very big thanks to the administrator. Her recommendations were great (and not found in guidebooks!). The hotel has a perfect location, and everything in it was very good. It was well above my expectations.

All was excellent.

It was right in the Old City, but as you stepped onto the property, all the hustle and bustle is left behind. Soothing rippling water, leafy trees and impeccable grounds.

Very hard to find anything we didn’t like! Maybe the bed could have been softer, but it seems to be a trend in Thailand.

Breakfast is excellent. Service was excellent. Pool water is cold, but refreshing.

Great location and beautiful traditional Thai property.

Probably just the pump action shampoo and conditioner in showers not working very well.

I liked the value for money

4 stars should be much more clean. Moreover, the toilet was stinky and when we told the reception the housekeeping came and sprayed some perfume. The hotel needs to be refurnished.

Location was great!!! The entrance is beautful , staff was great. Once you walk out of the front the hotel def needs some updating. Looks run down and in need of repair. The tables around the pool area were always very sticky and unclean. Rooms were clean and comfortable and big !!

It looked dirty outside around pool area and looking at hotel from that viewpoint. Tables were not cleaned around pool

The staff was wonderful and made the stay so very comfortable. I would recommend the Rim to any travelers coming into Chiang Mai and looking for a quiet, quaint, and clean room. The breakfast at the attached restaurant was excellent and the service impeccable.

Room service is good and staff communication is quite well.

Due to the location close to the old town. The sound of a car driving over a manhole cover The room is not soundproof.

Excellent staf, hospitality at it's best ! We loved the location and the room was very nice. I recommend having a room on the first floor with a nice balcony.

There was a renovation so did not get to experiecne the restaurant at the road side. But the menu looked great and when we left in june the renovation was allmost finished so Im sure it is already done by now. All other facilities where oprational and there was no noise so it did not really affect our stay.

Old and need to be painted all over rooms,corridors out side the hotel No good swimming pool filtering Should have huge discounts due to construction jobs within the hotel

The staff was exceptional. We really were impressed with the young gentleman who showed us to our room the first day. Throughout our trip he would keep us updated on shuttle pick ups that we requested to go to the markets and for our drop off to the airport. We like the spacious room. The breakfast and staff were really good too.

The water temperature when taking a shower would be hot and then cool down when taking a shower. The internet was not very good, it would take a long time to bring up websites.

Hotel was great and in a superb location on the edge of the Old Town city wall. Canal View restaurant was superb for both breakfast and dinner. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were large and very comfortable.

What a wonderful place to stay. Great location and fabulous hotel rooms pool and grounds. The staff are just charming and very helpful. I will be back and will recommend to all my family and friends.

Poolside room was great, and very spacious. Pool was great. Resturant breakfast was one of the best, with something new every day. Staff was as good as it gets. Location in the old city was pretty good, although on a hot day it's a bit of a grind to get to some of the area attractions by foot (20-30 minutes). Always the option of a tuk tuk though.

Not enough loungers. There needs to be a better way to ensure guests are not commandering loungers in the morning and not showing up for and hour or two.

We stayed at The Rim for 2 weeks and could have stayed forever.The staff are delightful, helpful and polite. Our room was spotless every day and we were very very happy there. The restaurant is great value for money with well-cooked, delicious meals. The bar is well priced with a good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We will use The Rim as our go-to, home away from home every year. Would love to have insect screens on the doors so we could have doors open at night. Comfy, big bed. Great coffee facilities in the room. Australia channel on the TV- great for AFL season! Executive King Room.

great hotel, close to everything, beutiful , the pepole and stuff are nice ,i will sure visit again ??️??

Fantastic hotel was perfect for our stay. There's a shuttle bus you can book to take you into town at night then we got a tut tut back. The staff where so lovely friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable with a nice balcony. We sat round the pool a few times and had a drink there. Breakfast was very good a nice selection. All in all a great 4 night stay.

Nothing everything was great

Fantastic staff with lovely smiles. Everyday was a pleasure. Breakfast superb with plenty of choice and excellent coffee.Good sized room, very comfortable bed, good bathroom and shower. Pool area well maintained. Onsite restaurant serves great meals. The complimentary cocktails and afternoon tea were excellent The hotel is ideally situated just inside the canal so all of Chiang Mai is easily within walking distance
