Pros +
- Charming property and the staff are amazing. The owner was so helpful with arrangements and always bringing us fruits or local treats to try. This place has a chill vibe.
- Convenient location, extremely kind and helpful owner (Oil), spacious suite, powerful AC. Oil found us a driver to take us to a tea tasting in the mountains and got us discounts for hikes and bike rides. She also provided affordable and excellent laundry done same day. And let me not forget. Oil greeted us with fresh coconut water - including the coconut meat! - when we arrived. The service and smiles were exceptional. There’s also an exceptional coffee roaster across the street, Ma Lune.
- The owner couldn’t do enough for me and was lovely. It was a very small property but very quaint and in a good location. The room was quite crowded and so a little claustrophobic for me.
Cons -
- The bathroom in the room we stayed in was very awkward. It was a huge step up and then over a very high cemented wall… dangerous when wet.
- Suite has very limited natural light and bare bulb lighting to compensate. Facilities overall are dated albeit cute. Rugs were not very clean upon our arrival. Street noise is an issue. Street noise alone was bad enough that I’ll be using Google Maps to estimate nearby traffic when I return to Chiang Mai. It’s a pity bc we loved the owner’s hospitality and our stay was great otherwise.
- Too much jammed in the room so claustrophobic and dark. Hard bed.

Very quiet, comfy. An oasis of peace in the city center
not very interactive, the restaurant was rarely open and the staff did not speak English very well
Very friendly, helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room. Traditional, quirky and interesting house.
An electric kettle instead of a water heater which took a long time to heat up would have been better - quicker and more economical.
Great location. Pool was great. Staff were very friendly.
Beautiful place with the most stunning decor, one of the most visually interesting places we’ve been for sure!
Nothing! Very hospitable staff and free water too!
Lovely, helpful owner and staff. They let us to change rooms as the suite that we booked had no windows. The room with a balcony was fine. Great pool and lots of trees and wildlife. We loved it.
The staff were fantastic! The owner oil was so helpful and pleasant. She helped with taxis and gave us suggestions about tours and was always smiling and happy. The room was big and had a shower and bathtub. It was in a good location for getting around and right next to the Saturday walking street. We walked everywhere and did the whole block of Old Town! The pool was cool but it was refreshing to cool off and hardly anyone used it, which was great for us. Very traditional architecture with original windows, doors and furniture. We enjoyed this hotel because it is family owned and very traditional.
Because the hotel was so close to the walking street, it was noisy to sleep. We had to sleep with ear plugs because of the traffic noise. We were fine with that, once we figured it out. We thought we booked a suite with a hot tub, but what the owner meant was a bath tub, not what we North Americans consider a hot tub, just keep this in mind. The rooms are dark, but there are lots of lights and the dark room helped us sleep. This hotel is good for the value but not a luxury hotel, if that's what you are looking for.
We liked the lovely hotel architecture and the look of the pool. It is very cold however. Our host Oil, is super nice.
The lighting is not great in the bathrooms.
Fabulous property shown off to its best by the furnishing and decor. What you see in the photos is what you get. Very atmospheric. The location is excellent both for the old city and the Saturday night market. The owner Oil was very friendly and very helpful.
I really really wanted to give this property an excellent score but it was let down by its old torn bedding and towels. Both duvet covers were obviously old and well used indeed so well worn that the material had holes in them both around the edges and L shape rips on sides. The towels were grey and had holes in them. I asked for the duvet covers to be changed unfortunately only one was done. Sadly the linen let the place down.
Very beautiful place !! The decoration is amazing, the bed is very confortable, the room is very clean and Oi is very friendly and helpful. We will come back for sure !
An oasis close to a noisy street.
A mosquito net would help. Rather long walk to the center.
The hotel itself has beautiful colonial design with nice pool outside. A little bit hard to find the first time (the access is from the backstreet), it's conveniently located a short walking distance to the old town. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Recommended.
Everything The owner is fantastic, rooms are comfortable, and the food of the restaurant might have been the best we had in Chiang Mai if not in Thailand.
Loved everything
Great and quiet place to stay. Amazing host and her service. Out of this world tbhLocation is great, good acces to everything even if you walk
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly,My flight was delayed almost 3 hours so I was unable to arrive until midnight and they were happy to wait for me.
The owner was a very nice lady, very helpful
Very dark, but I think it to keep mosquito out, no where to lounge, no seat cover, pool was tiny, no swimming.
Very quiet and secluded even though right in middle of town..huge bathtub with steaming hot water. The owner is lovely and friendly
Everything was great
attractive building, unconventional rooms
dark room
