Mercure Hotel Bochum City

- Online check-in was very convenient, and having a digital key for our room was impressive compared to what we experienced in Germany in terms of digitalisation. - The location of the hotel is great, and we were able to park in the streets around the hotel without any problem, and the cost was lower while paying with parking apps. - Breakfast was fresh, diverse, and super delicious. - The staff were friendly.

The equipment inside the bathroom could be renewed, as there was rusting on the mirror and door frame, among other issues.

Convenient location, across from the central train station, and near the zoo, stadium, and the main shopping area. Excellent breakfast. Parking garage is directly under the hotel, and while not cheap is easy to access and reasonably priced. Very good breakfast. Nice room. Toiletries in the bathroom were great.

The central location means that it isn't exactly quiet -- the trains, busses, and trams run all night.

Quiet and comfortable room, friendly staff, delicious and huge breakfast.

Location very good for transport links right opposite train/bus station. Rooms were quiet. Breakfast was good , but waws veery busy on a weekend. Breakfast had a good variety. But some items were missing and not replenished.Before my stay i did email the hotel for some advice and have to say they responded very quickly and were helpful. Bed was extremely comfortable.

While i don't speak German i found that most people in hospitality do . A couple times i tried to ask for something at reception and i found them to be very short and quite rude to me. Would of been useful if there was some channels on TV in English.

No fridge in the room ands no kettle so the only option was nespresso coffee.

The bathroom is not suitable at all for people with special needs. Cleaners need to give more attention when ate cleaning the rooms.We left dirty cups and glasses and never changed them even we have told them twice.

No clearly gluten free options in the restaurant or room service.It wouldn’t not be difficult to put marks on GF breakfast items at a minimum.Only one guest lift working for two of my three day stay..

The breakfast spread was good and enough varieties for different choices. Also breakfast timing starts from 6 AM which was suitable for reaching work early. Most hotels in Bochum offer early breakfast

The underground parking next to the hotel was very cheap compared to Mercure’s own parking, and the bed was comfortable.

The town was quite dirty which spoiled the impression a bit. Dinner service stopped too early (after 9pm), so there was no option to eat at the hotel when we arrived later in the evening. Breakfast was also very expensive, so I skipped it.

Brilliant location - close to railway station. Early check in and late check out much appreciated.

Some of the lift in the hotel were not available for customer at certain period of the daythough it was operational. Access to car parking at the basement could have made better from with in the hotel.
