The location, cleanliness

That we had to pay extra money to get the room right away. The room was ready and the receptionist didn’t let us in until we paid extra, if we decided to wait until 14:00, it was free, but why not give it if it’s ready for free? Crazy

Great location, close to the central station, which is very convenient for traveling. The staff checked me in very quickly and I went to my room. It was quite comfortable, which is what you would expect for that price. There are various shops nearby, so you won't go hungry if you don't have breakfast. The bed was amazing.

I didn't really like that the windows faced the road, as I couldn't change with the window open, and the fact that I was on the first floor only made the situation worse. Early in the morning, I was woken up by a knock on the door because the maid wanted to clean the room (but I think it was my fault because I didn't hang the “do not enter” sign). There weren't many toiletries; there was soap for washing your hands, but I can't say that you could wash yourself with the rest of the toiletries.

The location was quite good, next to the Train Station, room was quite comfortable and it was in direct walking distance to any tram station and the center of town.

The usual issues with being next to a train station, minus the noise.

The room was very nice, with a little ensuit Bathroom. The bed was comfortable (the pillows where a little too hard for me but that's mostly my taste). Breakfast was what you except in a B&B like this, basic, but has everything you need. Good coffee and we also enjoyed the bread, which is not always the case. :)We slept with windows closed, so it was perfectly quiet, but be aware that the hotel is directly adjacent / integrated into the train station, and our room was to the side of the rails, so it might get a little noisy during summer time when you have to keep the window open.

Nice staff, quite big room, aside the train station and super central. Confortable.

Localisation it’s terrible, we stayed for 2 nights and our windows were on front of the street so we couldn’t sleep because constantly someone was fighting and shouting, a lot of police and blood.

Very accessible and transportation network was very good. Friendly staffs etc

The night staff was very friendly and assured us that we could leave our luggage the next day for a few hours. However, the morning staff told us they were not allowed to keep the luggage which ruined our plans for the morning. Please train your staff better to be more friendly and with accurate information.

Very good location and good value for money.

The windows are so bad; it doesn’t make a difference if open or closed, you hear every little noise from outside. Almost impossible to sleep.

As I say above, quite disappointing

I had an unenjoyable few days in Bochum such that I feel I must make some comments. Essentially the weather was obviously very cold but (unannounced ) renovations to the hotel meant that there was no way that I could warm up at any time during the day, which ruined the stay. I am assuming that this was due to there being no ceiling on the corridor outside and the outside door was often open for the workmen. Even worse, after one day, it was announced that no breakfast was available, so we had to buy our own at a local cafe of our choice but I never did find one that was warm (and obviously it was more expensive and less leisurely). There was every indication that the staff were unaware of the breakfast issue until a few hours beforehand. In fact, the dining room was being dismantled within an hour or so of me paying for breakfast for my entire stay. If I had been told about the said renovations beforehand, I would not have stayed at this particular hotel. On top of that , after one day all the ARD channels disappeared from the television, which are the channels I would have liked to have watched. This was something to do with ARD having upgraded their channels to HD entirely and switched off SD transmissions.On my last day, there was enormous banging at 0600 in the morning, as though someone was unloading sheet metal, or similar. I can not be sure that this was related to the hotel but there is a good chance it was. [although this was my first visit in five years (I took Covid seriously for starters) in the previous 10 years or so I had stayed at this hotel twice a year most years]

The light in the room is very dark. The toilet door does not fully close. The breakfast has only cold items.

The heating wasn’t on or working so my room was icy! Tried turning the air con on the hottest setting but it didn’t do anything
