    Pros +

    • I like the location of the hostel. It is in the ceter of the city and very easy to reach by walking from the station. Most of the staff were really nice and helpful people. They were very kind and friendly.
    • Breakfast is fantastic! I couldn't ask for anything more. Many kinds of bread are available. Apart from the deli, the vegan/vegetarian options are also plenty. Some traditional German food is served too. I also highly recommend the homemade iced tea -- refreshing, flavourful, but balanced.
    • Very responsive, ad-hoc reservation possible, 24/7 reception, elevator, really clean, fabulous breakfast, very easy to check-in and check-out, possibility to stay longer after check-out in the lounge with charging possibility for the phone and Wi-Fi

    Cons -

    • The pillow is a bit too airy and soft. It can't properly support my head when I'm lying on it. Other than that, everything is good.
    • No complains. It could be a little warmer, maybe.
    • There was no Wi-Fi in the room, so 9 points

Friendly staff, value for money, surprisingly good (for the price) breakfast included, with a few vegan options. WiFi works. Flexibility: I may need to book an extra day and I am able to do so.

No complains. It could be a little warmer, maybe.

I arrived at night and checked in quickly. Friendly staff. I needed boiling water and the staff fulfilled my request without any problems. The room had bed linen and a towel. The room and the corridor were clean. There was enough food for breakfast

There was no Wi-Fi in the room, so 9 points

the facility, especially the independent bathroom for each room. Only four beds a room guarantee a relative comfortable space for tenants. Really good breakfast covered by the room fee.

check-out time (10 am) is too early!

Having a bathroom per room was amazing! I just only shared with one guy. The breakfast was tasty and generous. The staff was kind, they managed all my requests.

Breakfast was great!Lockers were very large and with holders for clothes. That was very good.It was cool that I was able to leave baggage for half a day to enjoy festival more.Location is very good- close to hbf and center of city.Everything was clean.

There is no kitchen and fridge which can be used by guests. The window in room was not fully openable by guests(it was locked). It opened only to small extent upwards. It made it harder to let clean air in in the morning.

I loved the complimentary breakfast especially because it catered towards my gluten and dairy intolerant needs. The location is great as well, quiet enough at night but located very close to Bermuda3eck which was great especially with the summer music weekend happening at the time I was there, not to mention all the food options on that strip as well.

    9DanielPosted on: 9-10-2024

I felt welcomed and quiet at home. I could stay for a year if I had enough to pay for that long stay.

The person I shared room with. He was snoring whole night till I got used to it. I couldn't change him though, just a one off incidence that spoilt the all too good a place.

    1IbraheemPosted on: 8-28-2024

The location is near the main station and the center. Many restaurants and supermarket s are nearby.

Except for he location, everything else. 1. They listed themselves as a hotel but it is a hostel. 2. They didn't mention it is a shared room and how many beds are there. 3. The price is too expensive. 4. The recipient seems not to care and most of the time is not available. I tried to talk to the manager but it seems no manager is available.I had to leave and book a room somewhere else.

    9YuliiaPosted on: 8-23-2024

The room was very clean, the shower and the toilet inside the room which is very cool and comfortable. For every guest they have even 2 towels! Good breakfast was included!

Would be cool to have Fridge for the guest's food

It was a good stay. The people were very nice. And really helpfull. The room was simple and good. Nice price and quality balance. The breakfast was amazing.

It was a hot night, so we needed to sleep with the window open. There was a lot of outside noise.

Hotel is located in the center of the city, near the central station in case you need to move from Bochum. Nearby you have nice area for nightlife and restaurants

The place is not a real hotel but more like a youth hostel. Price for 1 single night was totally overpriced, probably due to the Euro 2024 just taking place in the near Gelsenkirchen

Good location, 7-10 minutes walk from the main station; also in proximity of the main "evening life" areaStandard youth-hostel facilities: clean and sufficient to get some sleep. No luxury, of course, but noone expected it

Much overpriced, given it's just a youth-hostel. I guess it's the case for whole area during football tournament, but temporarily setting price at this level is not fair.

    10OwensPosted on: 5-13-2024

Price , the fact the 4 bunk room was empty. Solo room late booking for cheaper than 50 was a bonus.
