- The original room they allocated was small, nothing like how it looked in pics. But the reception manager was very accommodating and proactively upgraded to a larger room on request. But even that room was ill maintained and the headboard had protrusion waiting for an accident to happen. I slept the leg side, room toiletries were below par. There's construction and remodelling work happening at the hotwl which was not made evident in advertisement. Overall this is not a complaint just an observation, this is my home town and I understand the how's and why's. This a business hotel, hence the reason for my higher expectations, there are other hotels I have stayed in berhampur in the past which are comparitvely better in my humble opinion.

Staff were very courteous and location was perfect. Food was very good so was room service.
Bathroom was very slippery and didn't have mirror light.

Breakfast was excellent. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff are very quick to provide service. Watchman was very helpful at all times, he even offered to get my car cleaned each and every day of my stay in the morning. Overall excellent stay of 4 days at Shankar Bhavan in Brahmapur.
Rooms can be maintained better with fresh paints, door latches need to be fixed.

Room allocated to us(we are only 2).Room given was a worst one.Small room not matching the price given I have paid 3000 odd money.This was done intentionally.First from Hotel a Lady called me asked me for some advance(As it was not mentioned in Booking.com,I was hesitant to pay.Thats why they kept ba worst room for us. Although I checked in with a full payment.But here also they did a mistake They have not taken the GST Amount which I have paid 4 hours after Check out.Sir Please Look into the matter. They should be Out of Booking.com.

When I was booked room in this hotel is 1100 and odd,after 20 minutes it changed to 1400 and odd with break fast and all inclusive of taxes...But when iam vacating the room the management charged me 169 rupees per day extra ad gst...It is too bad...And worest
Loved the stay over here it was really good. Property is really amazing. Staff members are really approachable. Very smooth check-in.
