    Pros +

    • The simple lifestyle, it was quiet and was in the most beautiful of settings. I was in the river most mornings which was wonderful. So beautiful I extended my stay.I liked the fact it was located away from the centre, I hired a push bike to get me around. Soeymao and Kevin made me feel like green mango bungalows was home! Wish I could have stayed. Woke up to nature each day.
    • We enjoyed a peaceful stay in the wooden bungalow overlooking the water. The room is huge, with a private balcony. It's basic accommodation but the beds were comfortable and the room clean. We were offered an extra fan for the children. The lady that runs the property is very kind and cooks delicious food (the best we had in Kampot). She also gave us advice about places to visit. We enjoyed climbing down to swim in the river.
    • There is no breakfast no chef no nothing.

    Cons -

    • The shower pressure was quite low but everything else was perfect so I didn't really mind, I could get clean and that was the main thing.
    • The room smells of termite and wood. Not very clean and not very comfortable.
    • Cleaner wasn't exactly the brightest star in the sky but no surprises there.

Perfect quiet location just out of Kampot town. The family was friendly including the lovely grandmother who was always peacefully smiling. The daughter of the property sometimes manages the place single-handedly as well - she'll be a pro in the travel industry in the future. Keep in mind that the property does not have motorbikes/scooters for rent. It costs about $2.50 give or take for a tuk-tuk one way. Alternatively, you could rent a scooter for about $5 to $8 in town for 24 hours.

Cleaner wasn't exactly the brightest star in the sky but no surprises there.

Absolutely loved my stay here and wish I had time to stay longer!! The location is mesmerising, and the owner is so kind and accommodating. Highly recommended if you’re looking for basic but extremely comfortable accommodation.

Lovely location and peaceful and quiet at the time we were here Sept 2024 rainy season. It is a little way out of town but worth it if you want down time

( not sure why sad face has stayed I've tried to change it several times but totally happy with our hosts)Hosts and staff are very helpful Arranging transport, washing, where to visit, food was excellent.A real laid back approach loved our stay thanks ?

    Quiet place

Can give some sheets bed instead of warm cover. And more storage or rack .

The location is amazing if you want to stay far away of the noise. The river is incredible and you can breath peace.

The mattress is not healthy. Maybe for one night is perfect but for longer is not a good idea.

The little pier, jumping off the balcony into the river, delicious food, and friendly host family.

Position, Australian owner (I forgot his name)

Owner’s wife was grumpy. I didn’t care until the last evening when I got locked out of the gate while returning on my scooter. I had to climb over and once I knocked on the owners' door, the wife showed up saying that the lock was open, which was not true. Once it was opened and closed again, she went back inside without even a word of apology. We are human and we can fail but we can also recognise when it’s our fault and say a simple word: “sorry”

    The river view.The quite location

It’s falling apart! The thatched roof in the main area is full of holes. Two rooms have river views. Room 2 floor boards move and creak when walked on. Water pressure very poor. Floor in bathroom is deadly when wet, must wear thongs. No ac and balcony door must be kept closed in evening as mossies are plentiful. The swimming platform could be great if some work was done on it. In its present state it’s dangerous. Access to the water is via jumping 2-3 meters or via steel ladder then walking on broken sandbags into the mud. If you look around while under the swim platform you will see broken and/ or cracked support poles and beams. This is a potential disaster waiting to happen. I couldn’t see any safety items in the area.

I absolutely adored my room with a balcony over the water. And even if you don't have one of these, the bar-restaurant has a very similar position and view. I was there for the rest and quiet, and I found it. Had a good swim in the river, which is ok clean for that. There's a small kayak to paddle too. And wonderful sunset by the way.

    9JorisPosted on: 2-5-2024

Wonderful, lovely location if you prefer a serene, calm place to stay. The family that owns and runs it is warm and welcoming. The food is great. We enjoyed using the paddle board and swimming in the river. We had so much fun kayaking at “the loop” which is very close from the accommodation.Wifi is slow which can be improved. I also suggest to serve variety of fruits for breakfast and better quality of coffee. Overall, it was a fun, peaceful stay!Thank you for hosting us Kevin!

Everything was great! Location, hosts, calmness, being alongside the river, nature, sunset viewpoints, food, recommendations and more!! We felt right at home. Whether you are looking for a budget bungalow or a bungalow with balcony and amazing views, they have got it all and are very flexible to accommodate their clients. The road leading to the city center has just been finished so it's now a smooth 15mins motorcycle ride away. Overall one of our best stay! Thank you so much

    Nothing to dislike

Location by the river is greatStaff is nice and speak good english

There is a construction going on next land between the GH and Sabay beach, so you get terrible noise from 8AM to 5PM everyday, we are glad we stayed only 1 night. This is not guesthouse s fault but if you are hoping to enjoy calm and peacefulness I strongly advise to go somewhere elseNo sheets provided (just a blanket), no bedside lamp to readNo real coffee just the classic nescafé.

Super clean, excellent hosts, surrounded by nature.

Location is a bit remote, but that is to be expected in order to have nature around us.

Great river view, very tasy food. Kids enjoyed to swim and jump from pier. Recommendations! Owner is a great host.
