Silken Ciudad Gijon

The property was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was good.

Nothing, everything was great

Easy walk to everything-train, restaurants very close. Staff were very helpful and the hotel room was very comfortable and clean. Excellent stay.

Upscale hotel with proper lobby and available staff. The room was easily accessible, clean and comfortable. The location is great as we could walk directly to downtown, but also keep our car parked outside the hotel.

clean nice room and great breakfast staff friendly and helpful - located near beach promenade

Easy to find, convenient to go to other places, great parking

The bathroom in the room. There was no way to contain the water from the shower from going to the toilet and the rug outside the bathroom. The floor wasn’t pitched properly to the drain. There was moldy caulking in the corners of the bathroom

Comfortable, clean, nice staff

Wifi on the rooms not working perfectly

Great hotel with spa that we enjoyed after a long day. Comfortable room and beds. Very very wonderful buffet breakfast. Too bad I couldn't eat more ;) Location OK, a bit of walk to old town.

Very comfortable room in a central location. Despite the big power cut, the staff remained calm and due to their generator they were able to serve drinks and food.

Very basic stay

The hotel didn’t provide kettle or any cup or glass .

Accomodation was very well located and Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Very good breakfast

Nothing. Everything was very good.

Having read reviews from previous guests,I can now agree this is a really good hotel for business travellers more so than tourists. We did not use the spa facilities or gym.The car parking with lift straight up to the floor our room was on ,was very convenient and for us an important aspect of choosing this hotel. The cafe/restaurant was vey good .The breakfast was more of a continental style .The best thing about the hotel for us was the staff, especially in the restaurant ,they are really friendly and you are always greeted with a smile. The location is more suited to business travellers being next door to the main train station but a good walk into the centre and the main beach.

The location didn't really suit our stay and the room we occupied, whilst big was getting tired and ready for a refurb.

Maria reception member excellent. Bar staff very good. Breakfast outstanding also staff members. Parking garage steep but safe inside.

Modern hotel designed for business travellers

Beautifully designed building where common areas were cold and drafty (in early February).Rooms were warm although our Club Room contained only one proper seat

Very comfortable room, hot swimming pool with Jacuzzi, nice breakfast.

Parking prices could be less expensive.

All was good, very clean and excellent service. The breakfast was varied and delicious.

Location

Staff, lack of communication and cleanliness

Fabulous breakfast which was available from 7am. Parking on site. Easy walk into town and close to supermarket. Quiet.

Just a little on the expensive side.

Nice hotel and worth it's money, breakfast was pretty good.

There was no water in the room, only paid bar.

Location was right in the city. Quick checkin. Great facilities at the hotel room. Very convenient

We booked the junior suite with a crib and the room was very spacious. The crib mattress was plush. Had a peekaboo view. The breakfast buffet was nice as well. We were only there one night but found it to be a lovely stay.

The pool requires a swim cap and a reservation. It seemed like a lot of work (and extra expense) to use an included facility. We didn't end up going because it seemed like such a hassle.
