AC Hotel Gijón

Good international standard, nice and helpful staff. Located out of the city center, easy parking in front of the hotel or on the streets around. Supermaket next door, CI shopping mall 2 blocks away. I didn't use breakfast option

First room assigned had a cigarette smell, replaced wihtout questions.

Building's architecture

The hotel looked very nice, with modern equipment. The employees were very kind. I would especially like to highlight the very good bath products. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were quiet and we had a good sleep in the hotel.

The coffee was not to our taste. We expected a much better breakfast. Many locals park in the free parking spaces, so guests have to park in the garage, which is actually a fenced open-air parking lot.

This hotel was in the perfect location for us, easy to find from the motorway and easy to get into the town centre by bus just a short walk from the hotel. There was a small supermarket next door which was handy for supplies. The breakfast on the hotel was more than sufficient for us with plenty of choice available.

Quiet, no noise

Facilities and staff. Lady didn t explain when we arrived. She just gave us the card and gave us the room number. No explanation for breakfast, where the elevators are located, etc. I had to ask all the questions. Room: no shells to put our clothes, just a small cabinet with very small drawers, only 4 hangers, only one electricity plug next to bed on one side, a lot of dust under the sink, bed moving a lot, fragile, etc.

Nice room, clean and modern.

Air conditioning was not working. Consequently, the hotel was intolerably hot and we could not sleep.The room widows could be opened, however, the hotel is on a main route into the city, which, whilst convenient, was extremely noisy with the windows open.

There is English international news channels.

The facilities are old. The room smells very old and especially the bathroom. So I asked the receptionist to change the other room. The garage costs 7 euros per night. It is not worth 83 euros per night only for the room.

Helpfulness of staff - tv wasn’t working and it was replaced within 10 minutes. All staff spoke good English. Location ideal for the motorway and for visiting Gijon centre. There was a supermarket next door for supplies. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. Air conditioning in the room was very controllable.

It would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Location.If you want to move you, definitely need car or taxi.

Large room with excellent shower and bath facilities. Very clean, a little road noise although we were on 4th floor.

The restaurant was only serving very limited meals due to Easter weekend. We had to use a local supermarket for something to eat.

Nice, clean and serves the purpose. I did not want to be in the city center, so it was a great location to spend a night, but yet to be able to visit the center. Stuff great. Parking garage safe. Very clean.

Everything. Friendly staff, comfort, bus stop nearby for easy access to the city centre.

We had a very clean room with a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom with all amenities in and everything working. Good soundproofing when the window is closed - we could not hear any noise from the street although our window overlooked a busy city road. Free parking is right in front of the entrance, it's small, but other option is on-street parking or paid hotel's parking. The city center is too far to walk, but easy reachable with a car.

There were 3 pillows and 1 hand towel for us (2 pers), and not enough sockets to charge all our devices. All lamps in the room simultaneously or on or off, no option to separate a desk lamp, for example.

Excellent staff, check in and check out very smooth and efficent, most staff spoke some if not good English.Nice room, comfortable, plenty of space, cold air conditioning which was quiet.Great breakfast, lots of choice and lots of seats. Also good location and easy parking at the hotel.

It was clearly obvious people had smoked in my room from the lingering smell and there was damage to side tables and surfaces from cigarettes. Also, the restaurant is closed some evenings, would have been nice to know ahead of time when travelling all day for business before hand.
