Fantastic staff helped us book extra nights. Love the massage place on site. Great breakfast. Close to get out of the city to tourist spots and airport. Lots of food places and atm very close.

Shower is hot then cold then hot then cold.

We did not get to experience the breakfast. We did not stay at the hotel for the night. The room was full of black mold The staff was very friendly

There was black mold all over the ceiling and all over in the shower and therefore we could not stay in the room.

The staff are very friendly and hospitable, always willing to help. The rooms have a double lock so it was very safe. Parking is available and casual, you can park basically anywhere and it's free.

The room looked better in the photos. The bed was comfy, air conditioning was great and it was very safe. However the window in my room needs repair as there is a gap which could let in mosquitoes, and the bathroom was not clean.

The receptionist on in the evening was very attentive and nice. We had an issue when checking in (see what we didn’t like) and he apologised and sorted us out.This property is close to the airport (the reason we chose it) and fairly close to the sanctuaries.Dojo the restaurant is nearby and they have nice food.Ok WiFi too.

I’m afraid we had a terrible stay here. And I want to preface the following complaints that we adjusted our expectations based on the hotels rating and price we paid, however: 1. We were originally given a key to a room which was not turned around by house keeping, previous guests towels, food etc was still around and it was very messy, you get the scene - the guy on the reception sorted us with a new room. 2. The new room we were given had clean sheets, but nothing else. Again, our expectation was to see worn out decor/furniture, but the room was simply dirty. Stains from coffee spills on cupboards, the walls had unidentifiable stains, the bathroom was just dirty. The next day in the morning before we left I showed a picture of the stains to the morning receptionist and asked for the room to be cleaned plus new toilet paper to be brought in. We came back to the stains there and NO toilet paper (I am not joking). The evening receptionist was lovely and sorted us out. 3. The breakfast is very basic, what you’d expect from a motel/affordable accommodation. We ended up going to Dojo. Look, this is a cheap hotel. Dated etc. But it’s dirty. I felt really uncomfortable for that reason there. We left in the morning and did not come back until late so it was overall fine but we did not have good sleep at all. It’s listed as 3 stars but it’s closer to 1/2 star.

The breakfast was a good spread and the breakfast/kitchen staff were lovely and friendly.

The room was very old and shower had cracked tiles and the shower head sprayed everywhere but down. There was no toilet paper on arrival.At 11pm I had a man ringing my house keeping bell claiming to be housekeeping, though I had not ordered anything. He stayed outside my door for about 5 minutes, calling ‘housekeeping’ and ringing the bell. I’m not even certain he worked at the hotel. I called reception and they just said there must have been a misunderstanding. I have never felt so unsafe.

Good location for airport, but a long way out of city and tourist sights. Grab was 15rmb to city/sights. Breakfast buffet is large but not great. Food options very close.

Although the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment in the reception and restaurant areas, the staff made us very welcome and did their best to accommodate our needs.

In order to get the wifi we had to change floors.Limited breakfast options may have been due to moving the breakfast area to the upper floor conference suite.

Short ride to the airport. They let us check in early.

Air-conditioning pretty much non existing. The windows didn't close properly, cigarette butt's outside the window, cobwebs in the curtains, overall cleanliness in the room not good. The whole place needs an overhaul, very tired and old fashioned. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. Wifi not good unless you are in the corridor.

Great location. Near airport, plenty of restaurants, and laundromat. Easy to get to anywhere in Sandakan. Breakfast was also satisfactory. Massage place attached.

There are very few nice options in Sandakan other than eco-resorts that are outside the city. Sandakan is a nice, safe, quiet town with good food. It's easy to get around with Grab (Uber). The Pavilion Hotel was exactly what we needed. It was very comfortable with hot water, great beds and air conditioning that worked. The breakfast was also good. The hotel is also very close to the airport.

Dirty room, unclean sheets, walls, everything. Very humid in the room, mould everywhere. Smells bad. Also next to a noisy street.

Location. Good food choices and laundries close by. Also quick to get to airport. Put extra bed in room for our children.

No proper foot mat in the toilet. Toilet was a bit rusty in some parts. No water bidet in the toilet (the one with the handle).
