Clean and comfortable bed. The location is OK, in a quiet area.

- Water disruption (21 March 2025) - no water supply at night, no one was available at the reception and waited and had to wait for more than 15 minutes. There should be someone at the reception at all times. Despite being Malaysian, I was charged RM20 in Tourism Fees, which the hotel didn't refund. They blamed the Booking system. I escalated this to booking.com, but they insisted they would not refund me despite my being Malaysian. The hotel never validated or took action, which does not align with Malaysia's Tourism Tax law.

Bad smell no elevator nor dining facilities. there were refurfishing the hotel and we were not told in avance of our stay.

Spacious parking. The bed is comfy. Hot water and pressure is available.

The socket at the tv area always tripped. Luckily we knew how to turn back on. However, more than 10 times tripping annoyed us. This is old hotel, the furniture is old but clean. I dont think worth for rm150.

Good location to the airport for short stay.

Not great location for sandikan. was put in a smoking room initially and needed to move and bathroom was extremely mouldy.

The staffs were lovely. Jojo was very helpful. It’s a very basic hotel, I’d call it a backpacker’s place rather than a hotel.

Really need to redecorate the rooms. It is a cheap hotel so wasn’t expecting much because it was a stopover to Sepilok. But the first room had mould, requested a room change. 2nd room was a bit better but still had a musky smell. No lifts so don’t book the 2nd floor if you have luggage.

Located closeby - about 1.2km - to my place of work visit. Excellent location. Air cond was working after 10 - 15 minutes. Hot water was working after 5 - 10 minutes. Pleasant enough for a work stay! Despite whatever the case, Mark's Lodge is secure and I feel safe, and this is the most important factor in my decision.

Stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. No housekeeping done, no refreshed complimentary water and no refreshed coffee and sugar packs in that entire duration. Trashed not cleared - so please do not simply throw your rubbish thinking it will be cleared the next day. No one will make up your bed and no one will clean up or vacumn the room. I ended up visiting 7-11 to get buns and 3-in-1 coffee stixs. Wished it was a bit better.

All except for no iron. Perhaps, the staff forgot and it forgiven :)

I asked for Iron during booking but no iron.

Non smoking room smells cigarette. Feels headache when waking up in the morning.
