The price on Booking.com did not include taxes and the tourist tax, so in the end the bill was 50 MYR higher than shown on the platform. This is not common practice in Malaysia, so we were unpleasantly surprised. These fees were not transparently presented on Booking.com.We give 10/10 to the staff for their friendliness and service, but 2/10 for the location and price transparency.

Quite a walk to downtown..
The executive twin room is very spacious and well appointed with ample space for luggage, a large wardrobe, chair, tables, etc. The bathroom is also very generously sized. Everything functioned well except for the WiFi which often stopped working/was very slow. Otherwise it was quite quiet and relaxing - perfect for anybody who is in need of a peaceful space! Note that they do in fact take credit card (unlike what it says on this website).
I highly suggest booking directly with Sanbay instead of using this website because there is a significant price difference. The unit price is a lot higher on this website, and there are also taxes added on top whereas the hotel has a net price that is quite a bit lower. Note that this location is quite far from amenities (restaurants, grocery stores) and that the town center is a good 30 minute walk away. It is not an area that is fun to wander around (mostly closed commercial and industrial buildings), so you need to factor in time/get transport to get to the town center.
