WeLuv Travel Guesthouse

The owner was friendly and very helpful in sorting our rooms and showing us around their facilities. He even told us about the unit history and a little bit of Penang history. He is very rich in history and loves sharing it, because he is a city historical guide. You can get him to bring you out for a history walk of Georgetown. The room and toilet is clean most importantly. Plenty of dining area around withing walking distance. The Chowrasta morning market is fantastic to visit.

There's nothing much I can comment about, cause everything was beyond my expectation.

The location is good. Owner are friendly. They have snake in aquarium, me and my siblings happy that we had given a chance to touch it. The water heater is function well.

I stayed in room 25, they need to do something with the bathroom door. This room is near to the mini park, so there are mosquito in the room.

Location was fine. On arrival, the Reception Staff gave useful tips on places (and eateries) to visit.

liquid soap could be provided in the shower?

Guesthouse is very accessible to all attractions. And bus stop is just nearby, in front of 7 eleven. Uncle is very accommodating and even gave a brief history of Georgetown based on th free map that he provided. Also, he upgraded my room from single to twin even though I'm a solo traveller. Really appreciate the welcoming staffs and had a wonderful time in Penang!

The location is really good with lots of shops and food around, and it's really close to many attractions. The owners are really friendly and helpful

The room shower has some leaking on the first day but the owner was able to fix immediately, so not much issue

The host was super friendly , show us places to visit , and give us advice about which transportation to take .Love the place , Washroom was clean , near to bus stop , everything was nice .

The people who manage this Guesthouse is very friendly. It has an excellent location in China Town, close to many great restaurants. The place is very clean and I especially liked the fact that it was also very quiet. Good value for money and I will highly recommend this place.

Very helpful guy checked me in and gave me an extremely thorough briefing of Georgetown and Penang. Very funny too and great English.

Social space not great, only reason I chose to move on

The best thing by far about WeLuv Travel was the staff. They were really friendly, knowledge, helpful and generous. The facilities are perfectly adequate and good for the price. It's a budget place, but it's clean and evey thing works.

The room was perfect for what I needed. I booked a single room but got upgraded to a double upon arrival with no extra cost! The owner was so nice. When I arrived I didnt have any Malaysian cash and he let me check in and just told me to pay whenever I was able to exchange money! He also spent 20 minutes going over all of things I could do in Georgetown, outlining must see attractions, the best food, and markets on a map. The bathrooms were clean and the shower was hot! I have nothing but praise for this hostel!

Good location, friendly host

Room is not sound proof. A simple partition room that separated by a thin wooden board. I can clearly hear the snoring noise made by the guy who stayed at the next room

Fab place in Chinatown. Super staff, and great room for the money. I would stay there again for sure. Amazing old building too. Really unique, and felt like a big home.

Great location, great introduction to city history and where to eat. Convenient location for exploring Georgetown by foot.

Not much sound insulation between rooms. First night I heard neighbor snoring through the night. Luckily only one night.

Its a really nice Guesthouse and so well located in beautiful Georgetown - just a short walk to everything. The Guesthouse is several old row houses combined, keeping the style of the internal courtyard and very clean and comfortable. The staff are lovely and so helpful. I had a great time in Penang, catching up with friends who were also travelling, and enjoying the food and historic ambience. Great Guesthouse in a great town.

Everything. Location was perfect, near public transportation. People on the reception gave me the map and explain it clearly. They let me know about food places near the property also with the opening hours I even got an upgrade for my room

Pillow was too thin.
