Breakfast is excellent.The location is very convenient, with easy access to both local and modern cafés.All hotel staff — from reception to the breakfast team — are consistently polite and courteous.

Nice place and great value for money. The gym was really good. Breakfast nice. Not too far from the old town (20 min walk). There’s a bit mall nearby for supplies ?

The rooftop pool area feels a bit random and doesn’t get sun for much of the day (perhaps as designed?). The semi-outside kitchen area was also a bit random. The door was difficult to open, they ask to keep closed because of aircon and that was where the fridge was, so I was in and out.

Good location, it’s 20-25 min walk from the heritage center, however more quiet area to stay.

New property, spacious rooms, excellent bar

Infested with bed bugs, my partner got huge bed bugs bite on both nights of our stay. Booking shows check in at 2PM, however the hotel shows at 3PM. Initially we reached at 2, were refused check in, came back at 3:30PM only to be told the room is still not ready. We were very tired after multiple international flights but had to wait for 2 hours after the check in time to get to our room. Once inside the room, they took another 2 hours to send the luggage that is at 6PM. Breakfast area can get busy and unorganised, the hotel needs to work on the soft skills of its staff to be friendly and courteous even during peak hours.

Breakfast could have more varieties & types of foods, especially local Peranakan foods. Char Koay Teow & fried rice should have more decent ingredients. Just check out E & O Hotel's breakfast for pointers & inspiration.Not bad location but could have been a bit better.Services & staff most excellent.Loved the instantly hot showers with great pressure!Very modern, light & clean hotel.Internet however was very patchy, unfortunately.

Internet not reliable & very patchy.Just one spare toilet paper roll really not enough, especially when one gets stricken with travellers' diarrhoea!!

Lovely new hotel - rooms are spacious quiet and clean

Had a bad experience checking out with one member of staff on reception. Blatantly ignored me and my husband and was very rude at checkout. Got charged 36 ringgit for a smashed mug, which was obviously an accident. A complete rip off - anyone in Penang would know 36 ringgit for a mug is ridiculous. Woman at reception didn’t even ask how our stay was or look up from her computer - really left a sour taste in our mouth after a nice trip.

1. The rooms that we had were lovely.2. The buffet breakfast and the staff here were great.3. The in-house restaurant was good as well.4. Location was good.5. Availability of parking was great especially in the middle of Georgetown.

This is my second stay at Fifth Avenue...I love the place, the decoration, the cleanliness, and the hospitality of all the staff. Highly recommended hotel and has a strategic place.

Their breakfast is very delicious but maybe if they increase the main items, it will be perfect.

It’s convenient location . We were able to walk to some of the nearby shopping areas . The breakfast staff was so helpful especially Zalina .

The staff was confused about room number. He give us keycard room but we can’t get into the room. however the lady who checked in after us can enter the same room. So we have to wait they solve the problem take almost an hourStaff fix the problem by they was knocked the lady room and tell you are in wrong room please change to another room. And tell us “ok you can get into your room now” (the room that some guest use already) So we ask you’re not going to clean for us. Staff said it’s ok just a few minutes!? what’s a service!!!

1) Friendly breakfast staffs - The breakfast buffet staff are friendly and amicable. Great service. The female staffs would come up and chat with you or ask if you needed anything. Very accommodating. The luggage staff/bell boy at the lobby was also very helpful.2) Clean and new property - Since the hotel is new, new facilities and all. Clean and no malfunctions. (except for the TV).3) Breakfast buffet consist of asian style food so if you’re into that. Their Tomato Rice and Briyani is nice, their Bee Hoon is not bad. Not a lot of options available but mostly its asian dishes. They do change some of items in their daily breakfast menu.4) Central location, very near to Chowrasta market and bus depot and malls.

1) The television in one of our room didn’t work after the first night. One of their staff wasn’t confident or qualified (not be offensive) to troubleshoot or resolve the issue. Was told that another staff more skilled in IT will be coming over in the afternoon but was ghosted after that. No follow up whatsoever.2) It gets loud at night. We weren’t sure if it’s a karaoke bar or lounge near our hotel but there was an unpleasant loud singing happening almost everyday. Not the kpop or american songs kind. It disturbed our sleep.3) The internet gets spotty sometimes. I wonder if it’s a Penang thing or the hotel being new. Needed to constantly login to get free wifi and 1-2 network bars.4) Breakfast buffet is mediocre. I saw plenty reviews raving about their Nasi Lemak. Personally, would not recommend it. Didn’t live up to its reviews.All in all, it’s still a far cry from being dubbed as a “five-star” hotel amongst its contenders. It could possibly pass more as a boutique style hotel like lyf or jen.

Having to log in to wifi many times

New hotel but not finish.The complimentary dinners were inedible.The pool is dirty.The breakfast is mediocre.It took alot of configuration to stop the AC automaticly switching off
