    Pros +

    • Everything about the place was amazing, but the best part was the staff. They paid really good attention to every detail and made sure to curate the service according to the individuals' need. They were quick to help us in anyway we needed. The rooms were beautiful and welcoming, especially after a long day of excursions. It really helped to have a heater in the room during the cold weather.
    • I loved the panoramic room we stayed in. The view was absolutely stunning and the atmosphere of the resort was calm and relaxing, and on our last day they upgraded us to a suite, which made the experience even more special. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
    • The actual apartment suite was very well furnished and perfect considering Nuwara Eliya's climate - we had bedwarmers and plenty of pillows, even the outer balcony was completely sealed yet see through, allowing you to enjoy the view while still stayin warm.Overall the apartments and rooms were tastefully and functionally perfect.

    Cons -

    • We used to order breakfast to our room ,on the first day it was a bit delayed, but for the rest of the days the service was perfectly on time and much better.
    • One of the cleaners left the bathroom window open, due to which some bugs got into our room. However the on-ground team was helpful in removing them. They struggle with English but are very helpful nonetheless.
    • Food was terrible, rooms were not clean and very dated. The pillows and beds were terrible

On arrival they were waiting for us and couldn't have been more helpful. My wife had an upset tummy and the previous hotel had called ahead. They had remedies and suggestions to help. We didn't have breakfast but had dinner. It was very tasty. Good quality hotel with great staff and we stayed elsewhere after 2 nights here. Wish we'd stayed.

Could here noise from the road and music from the neighbourhood

Unique beautifully designed bedrooms with generous windows to view the mist and tea area. The lobby also had lovely design. Our Sri Lankan curry dinner was so delicious we ate at the restaurant both nights. Staff were very warm and attentive. Easy to travel to town by tuk tuk. So glad we found this place.

The hotel rooms are beautifully furnished, very clean, with great amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was really tasty, kudos to the chef. The view from the hotel of the sorrounding hills is just breathtaking, especially from the suite with the panoramic balcony. Over all a wonderful boutique hotel.

Cozy, Nice view, very nice and helpful staff.

Hot water is not continuous , need more filters, yellow colored at some times,, Room need to be more soundproof from lobby noices, and for privacy purposes. No public toilets to serve guests before check in.

The property has a great location overseeing tea plantations and looks absolutely mystical on days with heavy fogs. Sathmini and her team is exceptionally helpful and attentive and will spoil you with their personalized service. Don’t miss the jacuzzi!

We arrived in the evening when it was dark, rainy, and cold, unsure of what to expect—but the staff made us feel welcome and at ease right from the start. Their warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for our stay. Both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious—thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The property is exceptionally well run, with attention to every detail to ensure a comfortable experience. The heated blankets were a particularly thoughtful touch on such a chilly night. We only stayed one night, but next time, we’ll definitely be staying longer!

The room is good, warm and clean The staff were amazing The location is very good

It was raining and the sound was very loud I think it is because the selling made of light iron or something, we couldn’t sleep good because of that The room was very good but gives a dismal feeling

A charming boutique hotel with a wonderful, intimate atmosphere. The rooms were beautifully designed, comfortable, and spotless. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we felt at home from check-in to departure. The location was perfect — close enough to explore nearby sights but tucked away enough for a peaceful stay. Highly recommended for a cozy getaway with a personalized touch!

I loved the porch and vast windows. The staff was great and honest people. I forgot my phone and they tracked me down and gave it to me. I was blown away by that kindness.

Everything was outdated, the bedding looked so worn, the carpet was so unappealing, and there was so much hair from a previous guest. It was disgusting.

    8KatiePosted on: 4-28-2025

Comfortable hotel a bit out of the town. The bed was very comfortable and the heated mattress was a nice touch.

The staff were very keen to impress but sometimes it felt a bit much like we were always being watched and standing on ceremony, so it was difficult to relax.

Great location, close to the city yet not too close to feel the rush. My morning walks were breathtaking. Beautiful view from the rooms. Great food in a cozy climate. Ever so obliging and efficient staff. They arranged the Sri Lankan New Year celebrations for all of us. A big thank you yo Sathmini and her team!

    10SheejaPosted on: 4-5-2025

The panoramic view room was like a dream. Extremely wonderful experience and great views. Staff were very courteous. I dined in my room for dinner and the srilanka food served was beyond delicious! Breakfast was good too. Small boutique hotel with the best ambience.

We enjoyed our stay at The CheRiz very much. Sathmini and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and were always available. Since I had a twisted ankle, I couldn't leave the bed for two days. The staff gave me ice in a plastic bag and asked us couple of times if they can be helpful in any way. We ordered room service a couple of times, the food was very tasty and also nicely presented. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and we had a very nice view of tea plantations.

The prices of food and the breakfast are a bit too high in comparison with other hotels with similar quality.

    10MateuszPosted on: 3-4-2025

    Big, comfortable, heated bed.

    6OdriscollPosted on: 2-28-2025

The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious

They don’t serve alcohol, they put a curfew on you so you have to be back at the hotel by 10pm. The rooms are so loud at night, you can hear the wind rain and traffic outside meaning we had a terrible night sleep. The breakfast we were told we could order off the a la carte menu if you hadn’t pre booked, and then we were told we had to pre book. It all felt very regimented and considering we were on holiday there is no level of spontaneity allowed and lots of rules which had to be followed! The location is also quite far out of the way and up a very steep hill making it difficult to get up and down.
