Queens Lake Cabin

Disappointing and definitely not a 5 star hotel

This place is definitely not a 5 star hotel, 2 tops. They had very limited dining options, breakfast was a joke and the rooms were not clean and were very cold. They gave us one old heater which was not enough at all. We ordered extra French fries for breakfast and they said they ran out of potatoes. Again, 2 stars tops.

The location was good

The heater was broken, the water was tooo much hot and you can’t make it warm only hot you have to wait a lot until the water be warm , we were suffering really, And the breakfast normal only omelette with fruit and juice and tea or coffee that’s it, no other option unfortunately ?

The staff is very good and supportive.Good location facing the lake.

Since it’s a cabin with a number of other families, you cannot control and discipline others in case you need peace and calmness.Breakfast needs improvement as it is very basic.Not good for people looking for hotel type facilities since the property only offers very fascinating accommodation.

An excellent choice for families. The staff were kind, attentive, and patient with children. The hotel was clean, safe, and very comfortable—perfect for a relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, with all the modern amenities. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere of the property was peaceful and relaxing. The food was delicious.

Beautiful location and the view from the room was breathtaking. Service was really good. just a few minutes from Gregory Lake, making it easy to enjoy the scenic views, boat rides, and evening walks by the water. yet still close enough to the town center for convenience. The hotel itself is well-kept and has a cozy, homely atmosphere. Our room was clean, spacious, and offered a nice view of the lake. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was modern with hot water available at all times. We really enjoyed the stay !

Staff and location nice

Food was too bad.for breakfast they charge more price and they serve very poor breakfast.even wee ordered fresh papaya juice from alacart.taser tooo bad

Pros:> Great Location > Rooms were amazing > Front office in-charge during the day shift(Shivani) did a great job with helping us, they were kind enough to offer excellent services with great hospitality. She went the extra mile offering us extra water bottles!> Amenities were provided adequately

Cons:> Terrible cellular reception, the WIFI service was sub-par and they were doing maintenance work near the room which disturbed our stay.> Kitchen staff and manager did not listen to our concerns and offered us food without consulting the correct inclusions. Although they did provide the adequate services, the food inclusions were not properly communicated and the kitchen manager denied our request to add eggs to the Eastern(Sri Lankan menu) where fish was served without our preference being acknowledged . > Flies in the room made it impossible to sleep well in the night.> Enough drinking water was not provided. Only one 1L water bottle was provided for a family of four, the front office staff was kind enough to provide extra bottles. However, drinking water was not provided during breakfast. The staff downright denied providing water by saying that they will charge for room temperature bottle water.

The breakfast was very disappointing. The options were extremely limited and did not meet the expectations for a hotel. In addition, the area did not appear hygienic, with flies around the food. This created an unpleasant and concerning experience. The hotel should urgently improve both the quality and hygiene standards of the breakfast service.

Insects everywhere , if you have issue with insects theirs won’t be ur place for sure , Owner need to pay more attention on renewing curtains because not matching it will look way more better and do pets control always I arrived so 3 spiders which gave me horrible sleep cuz I could sleep always waking yo to make sure nothing is on me along with mosquitoes but I think this was managed with vapore thing ..The breakfast was fine but while enjoying the view yhere was dead insects around so again if it wasn’t about this then our stay would have been more enjoyable in this pretty area

Amazing location by the lake. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a delicious Breakfast as well. Staff was very kind and helpful. we were really satisfied with the stay.

Cozy and beautifully designed cabin. The views are amazing. Excellent and very friendly staff who are attentive to detail. Clean linen and room. The beds are comfortable and we slept well. It's a quiet area if you want some peace. Our greatest thanks to Mahesh, Rashvani, and the hotel staff.

The cold! Not the hotel's fault, but please come prepared. It's wet, windy and cold. The hotel is above the town center, so the temperatures are way colder and way more windy. The food is not the greatest. Only one style of breakfast. For dinner, we ordered chicken tikka masala ehich turned out to be very watery, and the paratha is hard. The management was kind enough to return it when we did not like it.

The lake view was awesome and the staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast was very very good thanks for queens lake cabin team for making us a memorable stay must visit hottel in nuwara eliya

Wonderful stay! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a beautiful view. And breakfast was good as well.Would definitely return.
