Casa Colney Hotel Ipoh

The staff was very nice.

It’s located in a terrible area that is not safe for women. It lacks any walk ways. I would not recommend staying in this area with your wife/ spouse. The hotel also has weird rule.

Works for a one or two night stay, but just know it's not super walkable to Ipoh's main attractions.

Location on the map looks close to the train station, but in reality is a 20 minute walk or a 15 minute drive. The sheets didn't feel particularly clean, the hallway could get noisy, and the lock on the door didn't feel super secure.

Basic hotel without breakfast provided. Had a decent indian shop accross the road to the hotel. I was told if book online is normally more expensive than booking directly.

Counter no staff. They leave a contact number instead but i guess it is a basic hotel so I did not mind.

I had such a great stay at Case Colney Hotel in Ipoh! The staff were incredibly friendly way more than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised that the TV even had Netflix and YouTube; I thought it would just be normal channels!The bed was really comfortable, and staying here for 2 nights was totally worth it. The location is also super convenient, very close to Ipoh town. Yes, it’s an Indian area, but honestly everyone there was so warm and welcoming. There’s even a mart right across the hotel where you can get any essentials you might need during your stay!Overall, highly recommend. Amazing hospitality and a very comfortable stay!

The room, the area, the bed, the cleanliness. Overall such an excellent stay. Didn’t had a peaceful sleep in awhile and casa colney was able to give me that.

The hotel is very neat and clean. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze. The room is kinda small but very comfortable. There's an android TV, electric kettle and full set of toiletries provided. The toilet also very clean. Hot water works well. The bed is comfy enough, and the air condition works nicely. We had to stay indoors a lot due to heavy rain but it was nice as we can Netflix and Chill. All the staffs here are very friendly and always ready to help. Parking space behind the hotel is spacious. Definitely will visit again.

Good location, in a peaceful part of town that is still within close proximity to little India and Ipoh old town. There is also a bus station a stone's throw away with buses going to the main bus terminal of the city and the railway station is very close as well, which makes things very convenient if you're using either of those modes of transport. The staff were also very friendly and caring. On realizing I was travelling alone, they provided me with some tips for safety and as I had a late bus, they also very kindly stored my bag after I checked out. The room was comfortable as well, with everything you could need for a short stay including a little curation of books for guests to read in the cupboard which was a nice touch.

The room didn't have a window but I knew that when booking it and as it was a short stay, it didn't bother me much. I'd also recommend using Grabs or taxis to get round at night as the walk from old town to the hotel, while perfectly pleasant during the day, can feel a bit intimidating at night.

Very nice and hospitable lady at the reception. The room is clean, just like in the pictures. It has no window, but we didn't miss that. We missed the breakfast though.

Everything was as expected.

We had a super comfortable short stay at Casa Colney! The bed, linen and towels were all plush and comfortable, the bathroom is spacious making the shower really nice and refreshing. Wifi was fast and easy to connect to.

The location is not as central as other ones, but grab to the main area is about 6 myr which is very manageable

The rooms and the hotel is very clean and aesthetic. Very near to all the attractions. The staffs are very friendly and they will suggest many good places for you to go eat if you asked them. Really worth for money and definitely staying only here whenever we travel to Ipoh again.

Comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff.

Hotel was within walking distance to the train but a little too far from shops. Would have been great to have more advance warning that payment by CASH only for room on arrival. Very hard to sort when no ATM handy to location.

This stay was one of my best stay in Ipoh. The staff is friendly and polite. I reach the hotel around 1am and yet they still welcome me wit a smile and even helped me to on the aircond and light earlier before i step into the room. The room is so spacious and clean. Worth to pay. Highly recommended and looking forward to back again for my next stay.

Everything was devastating! Love this place! Good staff and clear information at the receptionist! There's netflix and the room is various. The place is strategic because it is very near the rail station and all tourist attractions. Toilet very clean ! superb. The pillow and bed are soft and very comfy! Nice staying there ! Highly recommended for first timers come to ipoh!
