Herbert Valley Motel

Dirty window. Outlook Room we were given , had not been made up. We had to change rooms.

Strong fast WiFi, spacious room with table & chairs, thick towels, friendly front desk staff, lots of wallabies in the rear adjacent land, free covered parking in front of room.

Clean except for some spiders, could feel springs in mattress, motel a bit dated, no plates/bowls, no shampoo or conditioner.

Was great to be able to travel with my dog

Like due to flooding at the beginning of the year, but the room was a bit musty smelling and there was evidence of mould. Again, likely can't be helped given what the motel went through

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable. Room was conveniently located near the highway, but still quiet. Car parking right at the front door of the room. Compact but big enough for an overnight family stay.

Quite a few tiny little ants crawling around. Probably can't be helped in regional Qld.

Staff were helpful, beds were comfy rooms are clean. Scenery was magnificent, pool was perfect would highly recommend this hotel. Wildlife was beautiful too much to say about this beautiful stay.

I couldn't stay longer as we had to leave.

From the reception to the shower/room/dinner all was GREAT!

Bathroom was not clean. Shower screens and mirrors were dirty.Took a long time for hot water to come through to shower.O

The room was large and at the rear of the motel, which made it very quiet. It had a toater and microwave, which helped with breakfast. It wasn't ultra modern but was good value for money.

Friendly helpful staff, pet friendly, comfortable beds.

Beside the fridge, windows and window ledges need cleaning.

Great location, spacious rooms, easy parking.

Housekeeping let the room down I’m afraid. I’ve stayed before and not noticed it was an issue so maybe it was a temporary slip.

p.m. no hot water, a.m. able to obtain warm water for a shower, dirty cups etc., shower filthy, place needs to be demolished

Great location for all activities/access. Friendly, clean and comfortable. Value/quality for money.

The man at the desk was very cheerful and helpful on arrival. The bathroom had been upgraded. An outlook over a paddock of kangaroos from the room.

The room was a reasonable size but dreary and dirty. The bed was uncomfortable and soft. Unfortunately, we had noisy neighbours that kept us awake.

Location, clean and view over wildlife.

We arrived on a Friday and were hoping to get dinner but they’re not open on the weekends ?‍♀️ Frustrating!

Motel is older but has everything needed in the large rooms and is in a good location. If your looking for value for money then recommend this motel.

There was nothing we liked about this property

The room was dirty, it smelt, and was in disrepair. we did not feel that we could stay there for health reasons, so found somewhere else to stay. The room was paid for at time of booking, 5 months earlier and was none refundable from that time on.

Decent beds, nice staff, and convenient location for us on journey between Cairns and Townsville

Rooms felt a bit dated, and WiFi sadly broken while we were there (not the fault of the property though to be fair). Main issue was the doors not filling the gaps properly, so insects kept coming in, along with some crickets, and a small frog! We lost some food in the cupboards due to ants which was frustrating.

The location was good, I watched the wallabys bounce around the paddock from my window. The room was clean but tired looking, and the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly.

Excellent for our needs as we came for dog shows at the Showgrounds plenty of room out the side for walking the dogs lovely neighbours watching us
