Atherton Hinterland Motel

I strongly advise against staying here! I was assigned a completely different room than the one I booked — it was old, dirty, and had a foul smell. When I complained, the staff blatantly lied, claiming this was the room I ordered, despite my reservation confirmation showing a different standard. Had I seen photos of this specific room in the offer, I would never have booked this hotel. I felt disgusted staying there. I feel totally cheated and want to warn other travelers.

The staff were great - we were late to arrive and they called us to handle our check in and payment over the phone. We didn't realise they closed at a certain time and were really nice about it even though we were late. Good facilities, it was everything we needed for two nights.

A little loud from the road, but it quietened down overnight.

The Staff were great, on call 24/7. Location very good as off the main road but near enough to the Town Centre and easy access to Motel.

The bathroom was oh so tiny. Could hardly stretch your arms in the shower and not enough storage in the bathroom.

Thousands of birds (parrots?) in nearby trees making a racket at dusk, dawn and throughout the night. Really ruined the stay.

I was really surprised and happy with our room. Although a bit dated, it was so comfortable and extremely clean. The bed was comfy and great pillows.

Wonderful and welcoming. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Surrounded by nature with a waterfall running behind the property. I definitely recommend staying here as it is the best and the owner Casey is very accommodating and friendly.

Nice little family owned motel on the outskirts of Atherton. I actually was pleased about this as it was quieter and I think safer. Room was large, with Aircon and fan. There was a fridge, micromave and the minimum to heat up and eat in your room. The back window looked onto the bush so it was nice. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom fine (shower good). Staff very friendly and helpful.

Quiet location, a-few-minute walk to the Atherton hospital. Nature you can enjoy watching through the window at the back of the motel. A nature-inspired little get-away for me. Value for money indeed. I booked for a family room as no other rooms available, but very good price value for the room, more so if with companion.I also had to change my booking less than 24 hours and was accommodated with no questions asked. I had to check-out a day earlier due to direct transport availability. The facility refunded my one day with no fuss at all. I am so grateful for them accommodating my request and I highly recommended their customer service and all.

Centrally located in Atherton, but a lovely quiet location. The motel was simple, but lovely, clean and comfortable and facilities were excellent. Each room has an undercover car park directly outside. There is a small BBQ area and full guest laundry available. Beds were comfortable and fresh. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A really lovely little place to stay.

I'm quite tall and found the shower very cramped. However it was very clean and well maintained.
