Golf Place Inn Wollongong

I did not like anything at all about this hotel. I will never go back there.

It's an outdated hotel, dirty, depressing place. It's not even a one-star hotel.

close to golf club for a meal

The room was dirty. Bathroom was very mouldy and not pleasant.

Location was easy to get to and close to family we were visiting

Only a couple of little negatives, huge cockroach in the bathroom the morning we checked out and drain in bath tub was blocked so tub would fill with water while showering which was a little yucky. Other than that receptionist was lovely, beds were comfy and clean. Thank you for having us

The beds were super comfy. The staff were fantastic. Close proximity to golf club.

What is point of having a smart tv in room if it’s NOT connected to the internet. Annoying. Staff were incredibly helpful trying to solve the problem.

Dog allowed

Pools unusableDespite advertising room was in no way soundproof and located next to a main roadUnable to open curtains due to lack of privacy.

Very large, comfortable room with a nice bed and decent bathroom. Parking was adequate and was only a short drive from town. Nice and quiet and good fresh air but also good AC at night

WIFI was very spotty and struggled to connect my TV to watch YouTube or cast movies etc.

The rooms were so dusty it was hard to breath. Looked like others were living there in other rooms and you could smell their cooking. They weren't pleasant to be around when they were outside having smoke.

Cleanliness of the rooms were not great.

Large room, view over the golf course, clean with comfortable easy chairs. Lovely hot shower.

The staff that we encountered were pleasant enough. The room and bathroom were of a reasonable size. The motel was a short drive to the beach.

Oh, where do we begin? The bunk beds weren't made up and had dirty sheets on them. A staff member came promptly to change the sheets when we complained but never left a top sheet for either bunk. The mattresses on both of the bunk beds were bases of ensemble beds which meant they were incredibly hard with the timber supports. This made sleeping difficult!!The double bed looked as though it had been made up, but later that night, when we turned the bed down, those sheets were dirty too with pet hair and floor grit. We had to place our clean beach towels on top of the dirty sheets to sleep. The bunk beds creaked whenever the person on the top bunk moved, making the person on the bottom bunk feel unsafe. We had to place this mattress on the floor and it was very heavy to lift due to the timber base. The toaster had to be placed on the floor in order to reach the power point. The wifi kept disconnecting. When we sent an email of complaint to the manager after our stay. we stated we would never be able to stay there again. The reply we received offered $50 off our next stay. A refund would have been preferred!!

Great location short drive to clubs and shopping centres

The TV remote was universal and made operating the tv hard. The shower head needed replacing other than that it was awesome

Air conditioner was nice, large enough room for a quick 1 night stay over.

You can choose your selection of rooms but when i arrived and opened the door it seemed not to be that room I had selected and paid for. Appearance could look a bit better around the gardens etc.

Very clean and comfortable beds and big rooms all the groups were so happy I would come back again 100% And the reception was very helpful Thank you so much for having us.

Location and next to golf course

Interior can be a bit more modern and the restaurant was closed - seems like they are using it for storage room.

Location was ok, it was good for an overnight stay only.

There was a pool but was unfortunately out of order. It is an older place so the cleanliness wasnt as great.

Nothing to like at this place.will never book again

Staff are offensive, awkward and they do not cooperate to meet customers need.Place is very dirty. It is very noisy. It is beside major highway too.Mattresses are old and uncomfortable

It would be nice if there was an onsite restaurant at Golf Inn. We went to the "sister motel" - Lakeside Motel, and enjoyed our restaurant experience there. We liked that because although the menu was limited, the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Overall our stay was pleasant.

The bathroom, needs updating. The fan was very noisy so as not to waking my grandson i sat on the toilet. I think a grab rail would make getting in and out much safer, making it safer..

I was pleasantly surprised; the rooms have recently been refurbished and lovely. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom very new and clean. I will definitely be staying again when visiting close by.

Location

Ashtrays along walkways with people smoking everywhere, restaurant advertised is at other location, bathroom smelled of pee.. golf players outside the window at 530am being very loud and woke us up.. dirty towels piled up along walkways..

Friendly reception staff, easy booking and check in.

Pool did not look clean enough to use. Mould on shower curtain. Distance from beach.
