The Palms Motel- Formerly Flinders Motel

Superb upgraded and refurbished rooms since our last stay. Lovely staff who even contacted us to share that we had left items behind. Clean. Upgraded bedding, furniture and fittings. Great soaps and shampoos etc.

Outdoor areas are tidier, but could have nicer picnic tables and outdoor spaces.

Bed was comfy

Tiny rooms pictures are misleading. No netlfix. Not complimentary biscuits. Door to balcony was a pain to open. No phone to reception.

The location is the only thing I liked about this place.

The room i was given for what I paid I felt disgusted. I had booked a room with Balcony but I was not given that room, rather I got a room on the ground floor and this place is very noisy. The locals come and check in, call their mates amd make noise non stop for the whole night. I will not be going back to this place again. Finding a parking inside the hotel premises was tough as I had to wait for others to get their cars out to park mine. Call this place good if it cost less than $100 but for $200 a night this was unacceptable. Also, if you happen to forget your room key inside after hours,, good luck getting back inside.

The restaurant on site was so good, I got delicious hainanese chicken take away . I also enjoyed the tiles in the bathroom. It was a clean and comfortable room and not too noisy even though it was on a busy road.

The little restaurant near the property was amazing!

It is a bit of a walk to anything, the staff seemed a bit cranky

Disappointing

Old and uncomfortable beds , no microwave, Air conditioning leaking .

Location of the hotel near CBD and beach. Plus the restaurant on site.

The room we were in had the tv mounted on the side we got sore necks from sitting against the hard wall (no bed head) and watching it. Had people out on balcony talking past 10pm and walking past room until 3am.

There were the essentials - a bed, a shower, and a toilet. It was clean. Air conditioning was a big plus. And free Wi-Fi. There was even a mini-fridge and a small desk. Private bathroom.

Room was very tiny. Mattress was mediocre. Sink had separate hot and cold faucets, and the streams of water were separate.

The location was convenient for contact with my friend. The room was value for money. The bathroom and shower was spacious.

There should be more coffee sachels placed in the room. I could only have 2 coffees.

This place was nothing like the vibe they are trying to create with their photos - I would give this place a miss - over priced, terrible location, dirty old rooms, when you check in you sign a form to say you will not conduct “business” from your hotel room eg; hookers lol Yeah it’s just all round bad, give this one a miss

Room smelt funny, carpets need replacing and door didn’t shut properly.

Can walk to North Beach. 10min drive to Wollongong Centre, it’s good location.

No activities for children in the property.

We booked a few days ahead of time just after Christmas, hence peak price. Staff were lovely. Clean room, good a/c

Rooms were quite dinky, bathrooms very old, but good water pressure.

Nice clean sheets and clean towels.

Very outdated dirty carpet no toaster in the room. We were 3 people in one room with only one chair. Flushing constantly going day and night making too much noise.
