Hotel Gosford

It was far above our expectations! Restaurant served the most delicious food at a very reasonable price! Staff We're so friendly and weren't like family! Superb!!!

We have stayed a good few hotels with shared bathrooms so didn’t have high hopes that this place would be any different, we were so wrong! Shared bathrooms were gorgeous and always so clean. Every member of staff we spoke to couldn’t do enough for us, extremely polite and friendly! Food and cocktails were outstanding!

Our bedroom door was very sticky to open and close, makes quit a bit of noise

Beautiful clean shared bathrooms, very new and towels/amenities provided. Sink and mirror in the room, check in and out was very easy with drop box by the door and deposit that was held was released very early.

Rooms were a little bit tired/dusty and the bed was quite firm. Being an older building the walls and windows were thin allowing a lot of excess noise in. Around 3am a gentleman sounded like he’d been let go from working at the hotel and was causing a ruckus in the carpark right outside my window. I woke to lots of yelling by a man (who I think was called PK) and his co-workers asking him to leave and go home.

There was so much noise from the pub downstairs. The parking was an absolute disaster as there are 7 spots people fight over. The nearest parking was 2 blocks away and the streets are so busy.

The toilets were shared facility and this wasn't evident from the photos. Very deceiving. The check in was at the bar while i had kids in tow. I found that very disconcerting. The lift looked like it could fall apart over 3 flights of stairs. The location was an absolute nightmare to get to and move around. Food choices were limited and pretty expensive at the bar.

You could nit-pick but I don’t do that, this was way above my expectations I was pleasantly surprised

For a 2 star hotel, I think its underrated. We stayed in a large family room with a lovely bathroom. The staff were brilliant, lovely atmosphere.

Clean, tidy, modern, friendly staff, good restaurant and pub. Free parking and good location.

Great location, clean , good value for money

The room was large and new toilets/showers were very close and renovated nicely. The location was perfect for us being a couple of hundred metres from the train station and a 10 minute walk to the waterfront, also shopping centre close by.

On our first night being Saturday there was quite loud entertainment from downstairs but this did not occur on Sunday. There was no ensuite but did contain a sink in the room.

Location was very close to loads of shops n food places, staff went above and beyond and were very friendly and the rooms were AMAZING, so clean and fresh. 100% will stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Convenient, just across from the train station. Renovated.

Right above the bistro, betting bar, and proper casino. No other place to relax than your very small room. Construction most of the day and starting up at 7:30am. Ensuite bathroom dark, so hard to get ready. Shower only. En-suite cost an extra $100. Room not conducive to relaxing.

Room was overall ok. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice.

Wasn't informed that there was a DJ playing the night of our stay. Didn't even think of checking when booking but should of been informed in some way, either during the booking process or via a call by the hotel itself. Would of rather lost my whole booking fee and book alternate accommodation else where instead of dealing with loud music until 2am, and a very annoyed partner.

Street was very loud, windows not secure, firealarm went off twice in one day for no reason

I liked the homely feel of the room. For one person it was fantastic. Close to work and the most value for it's price.

There were some funky smells in the hlways

What a gem. Initially just booked here due to proximity to rail station (5 min walk), but i was pleasantly surprised with everything. Restaurant was great. They obviously refurbished at some time - and what a superb job they have done. Rooms without bathroom facilities, certainly have nothing to complain about...so very well done, and extremely clean. Georgeous old fashion, working timber elevator. The location was brilliant for both, arriving by train, and leaving by car...access to the M1 was an easy drive. Would I stay here again? 100%.

It’s close to the station. The bathroom is very nice. The sheets and towels were clean. The bed was comfortable. The cleaning staff were very nice and friendly. I liked having a good selection of teas in the room. Having food downstairs is convenient.

It was extremely loud on Saturday night- other days were fine.The air con was noisy and it needs cleaning- had a funny smell. There was a very strong smell of cleaning fluid in the room and hallways- it was of putting because it was too strong.I think it’s expensive for what it is.
