Pros +
- Everything was great, clean spacious rooms, friendly staff.
- Our room was nice a big, more like a studio flat, huge bathroom. The staff are lovely and helpful. The food at the restaurant is delicious. The whole place was relaxing. Nice sunsets, nice wine, great location, I would certainly stay again. Loved it.
- The friendly and attentive staff, beautiful setting, and delicious meals complimented our wonderful accomodation at the Vineyards guest house
Cons -
- Nothing to dislike.
- Unfortunately our stay coincided with a very hot, windy day so that we couldn't appreciate the beautiful outdoor scenery and activities as much as we would have liked to have done.
- the maintenance of the property is a bit lax. Rooms are a bit tired. Overall the facility is good, but for the price it should be excellent. The walkways were not kept clear of leaves and fallen bark. There is not much to do on the property other than sit by the pool or go to the restaurant. They should develop a walking path or something else to do.

Restaurant was great. Property has great potential. Room was large.

This accommodation was superb, very comfortable, great sized rooms, very relaxing trip with very friendly staff.
Very quiet and relaxing. Nice staff We lived our stay
The quiet, the pool, the spa, the fire inside and outside
A disasterWe booked the room and also paid for breakfast to receive shortly before going the restaurant was closed for renovations. Many other places close by for dinner. I then asked about the breakfast we had paid for. Told a continental breakfast could be delivered the night before. For 3 of us we received 4 slices of stale bread (toaster in room), 3 muffins and 3 small yogurts, 2 oranges and 1 apple.Totally inadequate for what we paid.
Rooms very nice. High quality furnishings and lovely bathroom with toiletries Reception opened only during the day. No bar.Essentially an Airbnb type experience. I paid for hotel service. Truly disappointed
Close proximity of rooms for our party was very convenient.
A wider selection of classic board games in the rooms would be a welcome inclusion given the inclement weather during our stay.
The excellent reception staff and lovely facilities.
It was unfortunate that the onsite restaurant was closed for renovations.
A quiet resort, set amongst lovely gum trees and vineyards. Nice to have restaurant on site for breakfast, good coffee, nice outlook and friendly staff, especially Peter on reception, he was so helpful and friendly. Sadly we didn’t realise Botanical wasn’t open on Monday or Tuesday. We went to Muse restaurant, Peter offered to drive us and we could taxi back. it was exceptional.
We loved our stay. Highly recommend.
Large rooms but needs another TV on wall in front of Bed. TVs are cheap these days and needs a better coffee machine. Quality Pods but coffee machine not hot enough and then when u add milk coffee is cold. No way to heat up. Only a couple of little things but would have made a big difference.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful! The restaurant was great as was breakfast and it was lovely lounging by the pool
Beautiful location in close proximity to many great wine farms. Breakfast and dinners (both at Botanica and eRemo - Spicers Guesthouse) were fantastic, unforgettable experiences. Staff are really friendly and extra helpful. The pool and spa pool were fantastic on the warm spring afternoons. Complimentary e-bikes available for use which we took out for the day to explore all of the nearby wine farms - e assistance makes it very easy to get up and down the hills on the bike paths. Everything you could really want or need for a relaxing, romantic getaway in the beautiful Hunter Valley area.
Nothing - great experience overall.
The venue was spectacular, easy walking distance to some of the best cellar doors, Fabolous restaurant on site. Incredible views and Wiglet to feed!!
Spicers went above and beyond to make our honeymoon stay a wonderful experience! The room was cozy with a comfortable bed and fire place and the bathroom very luxurious with a big spa bath next to opening french windows! The breakfast at Botanica was wonderful and the service there was excellent! We'll be back for our anniversaries in the future for sure!
The spa pool, next to the pool, wasn't heated very well, so we weren't able to use it, as it was too cold.
Beautiful quiet location. Sensational food. Great facilities.
We loved our stay at Spicers Vineyards. A two-night getaway to explore the Hunter.I’d highly recommend getting the breakfast/dinner package. There are two other Spicers properties in the region and you can use your dinner package at any of them. We had our two dinners offsite and our breakfasts at Botanical (Vineyards). All of it was exceptional). We returned from breakfast to find our rooms already made up and the fireplace burning. The hot tub was welcome at the end of the day. Staff were helpful and attentive.
That we only stayed for two nights! I’m thinking hard and can’t think of anything that we didn’t like.
