Hotel Unisite Mutsu

The staff were excellent in welcoming us which can be awkward sometimes as we don't speak Japanese.The room was very clean and well maintained. The cost was very reasonable for a one night stay.I wish Australia could match the level of service travellers receive during a road drive in Japan.

Great value for money, clean and convenient location. Bed a little short for a tall person and narrow for a larger couple.

We booked a non-smoking room, but you can still smell smoke creeping in from the hallway. Not a deal breaker, just not ideal

It would have been useful to have the parking lot map available online rather than having to park in front of the hotel to ask.

When I booked, my booking DID quote a smoking room, but in my requests, I asked for a non smoking room, should one become available. I was overjoyed to receive notification from the Hotel that a non smoking room WAS available and I could use it. Alas, when I got to the check - in, the non smoking room was NOT available and I’d have to settle for a smoking room. Unwillingly I accepted. On getting out of the lift on the second floor I was immediately aware of the smell of smoke. The room also smelled heavily of smoke, and the bathroom had a strong smell of urine. I wanted to brush the pan, but unfortunately there was no brush ! To make the room more agreeable I opened the windows wide to let fresh air in. However, overall my stay was OK, I’d like to give credit to all the Staff (including kitchen staff) who tried their best to accommodate the traveller.

The private bathroom in the room had great water pressure and suited our needs nicely. The breakfast had some Western options as well as local favorites. All-in-all, the breakfast was not bad and convenient for grabbing a meal before heading out for the day.

The bed was small for two Western travelers, but we quickly and easily adapted. The air conditioning was undersized for the room, but with the help of an accompanying dehumidifier, the room was never uncomfortable.

Friendly staff and central location so very convenient to finding a restaurant in walking distance. Shopping also close by with main department store within a couple of blocks.

Price and location. Staff were very friendly, helpful, gave restaurant recommendations. Although this hotel appeared to be older, it was well taken care of.

Parking was around the block and 1 street over but really was no big deal.

The room was very clean and neat. This hotel has everything you need such as towels, tooth brushs, etc. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and polite. There are many restaurants and convenience store near by.

It is a little bit far from the train station, so you may have to take a taxi. If you walk, it would take more than 30 minutes. We didn't drive, but I didn't see much of the parking space at the hotel.

Convenient location next to the bus stop that directly goes to Osorezan. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They even assisted us finding the right bus. Plenty of Izakayas were around.

The accommodation exuded the charm of an aging highway hotel that smelled like a dusty storage room. The cleanliness left something to be desired. We found hair in the bed and bathroom, and there were stains on the floor and chair. Breakfast was not only a sad sight, but was especially disappointing in that all hot dishes were already cold and mushy.

I had to ask for the iron. The number of the iron is limited and it is required to use very short time (return it to the front ASAP). I expected some amenities (cleansing form, lotion, etc.) but nothing.

Location was very nice. Very accommodating to my limited Japanese.

Beds and pillows were pretty hard, but still comfortable.

Great Location for nightlife you can find in the area, also anumber of food spots nearby. I think if you're going to Mutsu you should know what to expect in terms of nightlife so the fact there's this many options is great

Bit dirty by foreign standards, but I think once you accept that it's fine, clean enough I wouldn't complain.

Hotel can use a little renovation

We had breakfast included and it was a great selection of food. The dining area offered plenty of seating. There was parking but our van was too big to fit into the garage parking so a staff member literally ran down the street to where another set of parking was to show. That was super helpful and nice of him. Otherwise the room was spacious and comfortable. There was air conditioning but I couldn't figure it out so I just opened a window.

I wish I could of took a coffee to go upstairs to my room from the breakfast dining. Other than that there is no spa but I knew that when I booked.
