    • I loved that the Aomori Centre Hotel was connected to the local Sento ♨️ or public bath. This made the Aomori experience more personal and authentic. I felt like I was stepping into Japan vs. looking in from the outside. The restaurant attached to the public bath provided a delicious buffet breakfast. I also used the massage chairs in the relaxation area and booked a wonderful massage. A lovely experience, all.
    • The onsen was very nice and relaxing, but closes a bit early. Wish it were accessible all night.
    • Staff are friendly and professional. Onsen is very nice, and breakfast is very satisfactory. I enjoyed every morning. I tried dinner once. It’s good as well.

    Cons -

    • There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The room was small, but functional.
    • The room was a bit damaged and felt a bit outdated but it was otherwise very clean. More snacks and drinks on offer would be nice.
    • A room is bit too small. I prefer to wear slippers at the restaurant.

Pros: Very inexpensive (in March, anyway). Good breakfast, especially the local apple juice. Top sheet on the bed, in addition to a comforter. Free VOD, including adult films. Cons: Bed is hard as a rock. Desk is too low to get your knees under when you’re sitting in the chair that’s provided. The bathroom is very small and awkward to move around in, and the toilet seat is not heated. Also, there’s no ceiling fan in the bathroom to pull out moisture air. The restaurant is hard to find, and you have to take off your shoes even though it’s not tatami, just carpeted (and why would you put carpeting in a restaurant? Sure enough, there’s were stains from spilled food all over it). The doors are very noisy and the whole place smells of smoke.

Very comfortable bed. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Lots of different choices in the onsen. Central location.

The hotel entrance is not so easy to find after dark without a map. (The hotel reception is on the second floor of the building.)The step down from the bathroom to the bedroom is quite steep.

The onsen was fantastic, breakfast was great, location was about 700 metres from the JR station and bus services

Access to the restaurant, I felt that a lift option would be better served, rather than accessing it via the 2nd floor reception and onsen areas.

Helpful and welcoming staff. Very classic feeling. Facilities and room clean, a few age spots here and there, but not dirty at all. I love a hard mattress so I was happy with this bed. Onsen Is actually separate from the hotel and open to the outside public for a few, but even if it was busy, it was spacious and never had to wait to use any of the different baths (sauna was REALLY busy though). Actually decent souvenir selection.Overall, pleased.

It's showing its age, a few spots here and there but nothing serious and the hotel and room were clean.Still don't know if we could use the coin laundry from the onsen area.

Breakfast buffet & onsen were nice, decent value for the low price.

Old, musty, nothing interesting, just a place to sleep. Mostly old locals hanging out here for some reason. Don't expect much, this is just a place to sleep and use an onsen if you need to.

Great amenities! The onsen is really nice (lots of different pools to choose from and very spacious).

The photos upsell the modernity but the facilities are still very nice and clean.

Location, breakfast &, although it wasn't included in the price, very good - once I'd found them - see below

The signage to the onsen and the adjacent restaurant, for breakfast and, if wished, evening meal, was tricky to find - this for an English man who speaks and reads no Japanese. But the staff, who could not have been more helpful, showed me the way.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was superb. The public onsen was amazing.

    7JaninePosted on: 5-21-2024

Both public onsen and free breakfast were very good. It is a few minutes' walk away from 7/11, Aomori station, and touristy places.

Finding the location at first might be cumbersome, especially the building entrance, since the facade does not look like it is a hotel. The hotel lobby was located on the 2nd floor, so maybe that is why.

    10RhyanPosted on: 5-15-2024

Great location, breakfast was delicious and the onsen was amazing for being in the centre of a city.

Slightly outdated looks, but the place was still very clean and well maintained.

Location is nice, near Aomori station/ Bus stationPrice is including breakfast and onsen. That is great experience

Small toilet + shower for me. I was hitting my head. Luckily I could wash at the public bath

    Nothing much

Lots of thing . First it the manager are so rude.. he act like i beg to stay… does not have any hospitality… i come with 2 little childrens he come to my room to tell me to go out …check out time it 10:00am which is not standard …. He said i need to pay extra : which is ok my daughter got sick she need some more rest i can pay for .. but he just come and said out go out!!! Omg! What s a manner for that and he didn’t even help me with all the laggage …. : not helpful at all : shouldn’t be that ….So rude and charge more and not hospitality…The worst hotel i ever stayed in my whole life… Go away y from there… the worst choice i ever have made… i ‘ve been to many place in the world .. this is worst….And the hotell smell of smoke from the lobby till the hotel room : need to open the window … not so clean … a little far from the center like 5-7 minute walk … they have onsen which is quiet dirty.. my stay before in Dormy inn are so clean…

Great location, very busy hotel. Probably for the onsen and the big buffet breakfast.

It’s an older hotel, but not really a negative

    10JenniferPosted on: 4-14-2024

The staff were incredibly welcoming, kind and patient with this tourist. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and bus stops to places you might want to go (like the hokkoda ropeway and ski area, Aomori art museums and more) and the stay includes access to the onsen complex. The included breakfast was incredible! And the restaurant is open very late which is perfect for late arrivals. The menu includes many local foods such as miso scallops and apples, including apple juice, the best I've had. Everyone is so nice.

I can recommend this accommodation! The staff is very kind and friendly, though they don't speak English. I booked spontaneously the night before my arrival, it worked fine. They had an onsen I sadly couldn't use because of my schedule. I liked that they had many vending machines, you had to take off your shoes to go to breakfast, Japanese breakfast, really great!Apart from the negative aspects I have mentioned, the room was fine and I would book it again.

However, there were no spoons but 2 mugs in my room. I had instant coffee and corn soup powder that I couldn't use without a spoon. They didn't have a toilet brush in the bathroom. The TV was dirty, there was a lot of dust that hadn't been cleaned in a while. The white blanket had stains. I visited in winter and would have liked a plastic mat for wet and dirty shoes in the room.

Nice location (just 10 minutes away by walk from Aomori Station). We did not use the Onsen, but it is a nice plus if you ever want to relax at the end of the day. The best part, was the restaurant. Great buffet for breakfast. We had dinner both nights there as we were too tired to go out again. The food was good, large selection of dishes at a reasonable price.

The bed was a bit hard and the bathroom sink was a bit too low and small.
