Ardeanal Motel

Lovely bed, slept really well. Allowed to have my dog with me which was the main reason why I booked. Fair price.

Could have perhaps been a little cleaner,

Good old style country motel, newly renovated bathroom, very friendly staff (proprietors, I think).

Internet was very shaky, almost impossibly slow in the evening, but worked fine in the morning. Suspect their router does not block people streaming movies and then simply runs out of bandwidth.

Clean and comfortable with friendly reception

Inexpensive accommodation which is what I mainly wanted. Reasonably close to the town centre. Free internet service. Pool available if needed. Management co-operative to my needs.

In my budget room:- Nowhere to hang clothes. No table to sit at and use computer. Initially had difficulty logging on to the internet. Lighting in Bathroom better than in bedroom. However, management said they were about to renovate the premises.

It's cheap.

It's old, and cleanliness felt like an issue. Whether due to laundry, the housekeepers or a botched room turnaround, we found human body hairs in our 'freshly made' bed.

Room was a reasonable size

Rooms need updating. Was good value. Carparking was tight

I loved the pool, a refreshing dip after a long hot drive, good shower, nice bathroom setup. Friendly staff and travellers, close to all conveniences, clean sheets.

Air con filters rm 16 needs a deep clean, had to turn it off as it produced a mouldy smell when turned on. They are currently upgrading, bathroom had a do over so it all takes time.

Beds were comfortable, shower was great. The pool was clean. Basic but everything you need for a rest after a long drive

The room was presented clean & tidy. Comfortable bed with very clean linen.

As advertised. Appreciated the motel being pet friendly. Quiet location.

I liked that the AC worked well so I could sleep in warmth. The shower and toilet were fairly clean and didn’t gross me out.

There were drip marks on the walls. I didn’t know what from.

Very small room and could hear the bloke in the room next to me through the wall talking on the phone then snoring all night

Great sized room, awesome little kitchenette and good sized bathroom.

Incredibly small space for a (advertised) Queen room.

Attitude about pets being ON BEDS (as if you can stop them) was pretty hostile .....especially given the bedding was all pretty pet proof anyway; & you could SMELL the VERY LARGE dogs they had before seeing them behind the reception area. Travelling with 2 x SMALL dogs following our near fatal motor home accident (continued trip to Melbourne & return to Queensland), we did not appreciate the berating we received, on arrival, over them.... ie '(I) usually only allow ONE dog!!!' Fair enough, but WHY ISN'T THIS STATED ON THE WEBSITE???

Not worth it

How the manager spoke to us didn’t help us with parking when someone took our spot. We had no where to park and I had a little toddler with me sleeping had to walk with her sleeping on me because I couldn’t park outside my room as someone had parked there 2 cars in the hotel. The beds were so uncomfortable that I could not walk properly in the morning my back was aching all day. Very disappointed won’t be staying there again
