Pros +
- Location to the CBD, but away from noise, was great for us. The apartment was comfortable and provided all we needed. We loved the "packaged" breakfasts left in our room each day - just right for our needs.
- Room was clean, a decent size, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was lovely (rain head shower). Hotel provided a complimentary continental breakfast which I didn't need but might be handy for others. Location is an easy walk to restaurants, pubs, etc.
- Superb quality, modern and stylish rooms. Incredible bathroom and great complimentary brekky pack (quaility items!). The staff at reception was helpful and friendly. Loved this place and Orange in general - very nice place to visit.
Cons -
- Nothing really not to like. I do like a hotel with a bar onsite, which the de Russie doesn't have, but that's not really their fault!
- The bedding was too hot - a light cotton blanket would have been good. The doona was winter-weight, and it's not pleasant leaving the air con going at night to keep cool. Also - only a tiny half-size towel rail which didn't fit one towel let alone two. They need to put some hooks in the bathroom.
- Very uncomfortable beds with large dips.

The location was excellent and very central. Just a few minutes walk from the best spots - Ferment wine bar, the Gladstone hotel, Byng Street cafe and Dirty Jane's. we loved the special touches like the Brekky Bag with granola and fruit nectar. The large smart TV allowed us to watch our favourite streaming shows. I'd definitely go back.

Everything went well. Especially Maggie on Front Desk. Very helpful and personable.Loved all the breakfast goodies provided each day in the room. We had a lovely Suite and it was quiet.
Complimentary breakfast Great location
Very uncomfortable beds with large dips.
The hotel is on a nice street within a short walk of cafes and wine bars as well as the city center. The room is quite large and well appointed, and the bed is extremely comfortable.Free EV charging is available onsite, which is very handy.
The hotel was very comfortable and in a great position to walk everywhere in Orange. We had a lovely King Room with a spa bath.
The Rooms and cute breakfast
Little bad communication with reception staff, sorted i the end, I apologised however the reception staff didn't although it was their fault.
All aspects of stay taken care of right from arrival to departure. The brekky pack was welcoming. Well appointed rooms, kitchenette and cosy beds all exceeded our expectations. Overall a great choice for a stay in Orange!
The breakfast bag was an unexpected nice extra to receive, though we only used it for one day.
No issues
Comfortable hotel, close to shopping and restaurants in town
We had an unfortunate experience with the room next doors alarm clock going off from 11pm to midnight. Restless night
Comfy beds and pillows. Clean and tidy.
No allocated parking and definitely not enough spots for all guests, so you'll likely end up parking on the street. Reception is only open until 7pm. View from the room was of someone's backyard and a carwash. Room fitout dated.
Great location and comfy.
Just the bathroom sliding door was annoying, heavy hard to open and squeaking waking us when used in the night.
Great location and lots of parking
The room was very dated and some furniture and finishing was damaged. It would have been nice to receive gluten free options for the breakfast too. It’s also pretty expensive for a king accessible suite and it wasn’t that accessible friendly at all with doors not staying open nor closing properly either. It definitely needs an upgrade.
Good sized rooms, clean and comfortable. Good mini bar and hotel provides daily muesli and toast. Very convenient and close to town.
Mattress was on the softer side for our preferences.
Excellent location for sure, we loved our stay at De Russie as it was almost walkable to many things Orange has to offer. We loved the 2 bedroom apartment, it was very convenient for a family with two young boys. The morning brekkie pack is also super helpful if you don't feel like rushing to breakfast out. The beds are super comfy and spacous. The apartment has many essentilas that come very handy like the kitchen, micrwave, dishwasher, etc. Overall an excellent stay and we are definitly coming back to this place if ever in Orange.
NA
Bright, clean and modern ammenities and close proximity to the city restaurants and bars. The staff were excellent and plenty of parking onsite, including charging stations for electric cars.
The bed was a little soft.
The property is well maintained with excellent rooms and facilities. Staff are very helpful. This is my second stay of several days and a the hotel is a great base to explore Orange. Being centrally located, everything is in walking distance.
Beautiful hotel with light breakfast. Very good value. Free parking. We booked the suite with three bedrooms so it’s big enough for our family. They also have equipped kitchen. They also have daily cleaning included. The reception is very helpful. Highly recommended!
